Over the past two weeks, CodeIT Innovation’s representatives, Kateryna Voitenko and Іванна Мартинів, along with our partner and Ukraine supporter Yngve Nilsen, traveled to Ukraine to reconnect with partners, support our team, and deepen our commitment to the country’s future.

Their journey included powerful and meaningful visits:

🔹 The Superhumans Center in Lviv — Witnessing firsthand the incredible prosthetic, surgical, and rehabilitation work being done to restore lives, independence, and hope.
🔹 Mars Field in Lviv — Paying our deepest respects to the fallen defenders of Ukraine who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
🔹 Kyiv — Reconnecting in person with our dedicated Kyiv team members: Viktoriia Pavlenko , Olha Korobko, Yaroslav Zaychuk.
🔹 The Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce - NUCC office in Kyiv — strengthening strategic economic and business ties between Norway and Ukraine.

Experiencing daily life in Ukraine—including enduring russian ballistic missile attacks—was a stark, powerful reminder of the harsh reality faced by the Ukrainian people every single day.

This trip has only solidified our mission:

Supporting Ukraine’s resilience, economy, and people is core to why CodeIT Innovation exists.

Last night, russia launched one of the most intense missile and drone barrages on Kyiv and the region. More than two dozen ballistic and anti-ship missiles, followed by over a hundred drones, struck the capital and its suburbs within hours. Not one of the ballistic missiles was intercepted — Ukraine's Patriot air defense is critically short on interceptors.

At least 17 people were killed and 44 injured across Kyiv and the region overnight, and the toll is still being confirmed.

The strikes hit warehouses and logistics facilities belonging to some of Ukraine's largest companies — Епіцентр К group of companies , ROZETKA , Сільпо , Нова пошта , and other logistics operators — destroying distribution centers that businesses across the country depend on.

On behalf of everyone at CodeIT Innovation AS, we extend our deepest condolences to every family across Kyiv and the region who lost someone last night.

We share in this grief.

Nights like this have become far too frequent for Ukraine.

Through it all, we think of our own colleagues in Ukraine. Their courage, and the resilience of everyone who keeps working, building, and showing up for each other under these conditions, is something we are deeply proud of.

Yesterday, CodeIT Innovation girls wore their Vyshyvankas, Ukraine's iconic traditional embroidered garments — to honour one of the most powerful symbols of Ukrainian culture and identity.

Vyshyvanka is not just clothing. It is a living archive. Each geometric ornament, floral motif, and regional pattern carries the memory of a specific corner of Ukraine — its people, its land, its story. Throughout decades of Soviet occupation, this garment was restricted and banned in an effort to erase Ukrainian identity. But the tradition survived. It always does.

Vyshyvanka Day was founded in 2006 by Lesia Voroniuk as a student initiative. In 2026, it has grown into a global movement, a collective act of remembrance, pride, and cultural resilience.

Wearing the Vyshyvanka is a reminder of the deep-rooted culture behind our team, one that has always valued heritage, dedication, and a quiet, unbreakable grit.
