Big news: Out of thousands of startups worldwide, Skill N Depth has been selected as one of 40 companies to pitch at the NYC regional finals of The Pitch By Deel, presented by J.P. Morgan, on Tuesday, May 5!

We'll be on stage at New York City in front of incredible judges - Jean de La Rochebrochard, Anish Acharya, Jordan Angelos, Alice Bouaziz, Lucas Swisher, Justin Mateen, Joe Kauffman, Shuo Wang, Andrew D'Souza, Don Salter, Ryan Hoover, Nicolas Corradi and Jonathan Cherki — competing for $50K and a place in the global finale.

More importantly, this is a great moment for the industry we represent.

We are the first startup from the commercial diving sector to be selected, and we are proud to bring our industry onto a global technology stage.

We would like to thank hashtag for including the topic of digital diver logbooks in their Diving Safety Flash SF 01 – 2026. Bringing attention to how diving operations are documented and verified helps move an important industry conversation forward. Dive logbooks have long been a fundamental part of a diver’s professional record, and the discussion around structured digital records reflects the industry's growing interest in improving how this information is captured, verified, and accessed.

Today’s award for “Funniest Support Call of the Day” goes to one of our divers in the field.

He called SND support because his certificate photo got rejected.

Naturally, he wanted to know what was wrong and how to correct it.

After a quick review, our support team discovered the problem.

The photo was taken without a shirt.

Now, we appreciate confidence, field practicality, and the fact that divers spend most of their time in wetsuits, drysuits, or work gear. However, when it comes to certification photos, the rules are a little more traditional.

A shirt is required.

To the diver who called:
Thank you for reaching out, and thank you for giving the entire office a good laugh today. Support calls like this definitely make the day more interesting.

Feedback like this reminds us why this work matters. Commercial diving is a critical profession that operates behind the scenes of global infrastructure, energy, ports, and marine operations. It deserves systems that reflect its importance.

The investment being made into a structured digital network is not about technology for its own sake. It is about strengthening how credentials are managed, verified, and presented. It is about protecting experience. It is about creating clarity. And it is about opening new opportunities for divers by making their qualifications easier to demonstrate and validate.

We have all seen colleagues face both highs and lows in this profession. Certifications misplaced. Records difficult to verify. Opportunities delayed due to administrative gaps. Our objective is to reduce those friction points and support continuity in a demanding industry.
