At the base of Seoul’s iconic 63 Building, Centre Pompidou Hanwha introduces a new space for contemporary art and culture. Its long glass façade stretches across the site as a luminous horizontal element, while a sculpture garden on the first level creates a quieter setting within the surrounding financial district.

Near Paris’s Longchamp racecourse, this pair of interconnecting apartments offered Studio Ashby a blank canvas for a creative interior inspired by great racehorses. The six rooms were each designed with the feel of a hotel suite. Rich, earthy wallpapers are paired with artwork, vintage Hermès scarves and plush furnishings, including sheepskin chairs and velvet cushions. Equestrian details add a playful touch to the warm, layered interiors.

Sirius has always been a striking presence above Sydney Harbour. Designed by Tao Gofers in the late 1970s, the building now combines its original Brutalist character with carefully considered additions by BVN. Copper-clad pods extend the apartments outdoors, while restored laneways, new greenery and a public lift reconnect the building with The Rocks. It’s a thoughtful approach to adaptive reuse.
