Folks, apparently we’ve made it: Techmenity has its very first copycat. 🙃
Unfortunately, this one is running a job scam.
A fraudulent page is impersonating Techmenity, copying our posts and branding, and advertising fake job opportunities.
To be clear: this is an impersonation account. We have no indication that Techmenity’s systems or official social media accounts have been compromised.
A few things to know:
The fake page lists [email protected] as its contact email. That address is not associated with Techmenity.
The scammers are also using our real website, physical address, branding, and other publicly available company information to make the Page and job posts look convincing. The presence of legitimate Techmenity information in a post does not mean the post itself is legitimate.
At least one applicant was told that Techmenity would send money in advance to purchase equipment and was asked to provide banking information to receive the funds. Techmenity will never communicate with a job applicant over Facebook Messenger nor ask a candidate to provide banking information.
You can verify all legitimate Techmenity opportunities directly through the Careers page on our website:
https://techmenity.rippling-ats.com/
The fraudulent Page has been reported to Meta, and we’re working to have it removed.
In the meantime, if something looks off, please check with us directly before sharing personal or financial information.
And to whoever decided Techmenity was worth impersonating… we’re flattered. But please find a new hobby. 😏
