It's been a long time coming but we just shipped 2D measurement tools in Stitch3D!
Until now, measurements in Stitch3D lived exclusively in the 3D Viewer. Now, you can now drop point, distance, and area measurements directly on your 2D map whether that's an orthomosaic, a DEM, or straight on the base map itself.
Here's what's new:
π Point, distance, and area measurements now live in the 2D map view
β Add vertices mid-measurement β click the midpoint of any segment to create a new vertex and fine-tune your selection without starting over
π·οΈ Toggle measurement labels β turn segment labels on or off for clean, presentation-ready views
π 3D measurements sync to 2D β any measurement you take in the 3D Viewer automatically appears on your 2D map
ποΈ Delete from anywhere β remove measurements directly in the Viewer or from the Annotations Panel
Whether you're measuring a site boundary on an ortho, tracing a fence line on a DEM, or prepping a deliverable for a client presentation, it all happens in one place, in the browser, with no installs.
