Our Chief Product Officer Cassie Harman has seen plenty of software companies raise prices on the strength of new AI features that customers barely use. Her view is that when an AI feature doesn’t solve a real customer problem, people stop using it, and it’s only a matter of time before they stop paying for it, too.

On the ThinkData Podcast, Cassie tells Alex Hutchings why the AI features that save the most time are often the unglamorous ones, like pulling data from hundreds of forms into a spreadsheet in seconds. And as AI speeds up how software gets built, she explains why some of the steps teams call bottlenecks, like human review and prioritization, are worth protecting.
