Cruise Indy will host a classic car show Saturday to benefit Folds of Honor Indiana, a nonprofit that provides scholarships to military and first responder families.

At 11:00 AM on August 22, the cars take a back seat.

Cruise Indy will pause for a formal Memorial Service honoring a WWII veteran and an Iraq war veteran, both killed in action, and the families who carry their memory forward.

This year's service will include:
Presentation of Colors by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Honor Guard
National Anthem performed by an active-duty service member in dress uniform
Guest speaker: the brother of the fallen Iraq veteran, who served alongside him and escorted him home
The Indy 500 Gordon Pipers Flyover featuring a Huey helicopter and a Bell H-13, carrying the uniforms and flags of both honored veterans 21-gun salute
Ringing of the Gold Star Mothers Memorial Bell Moment of Silence Taps, performed by a retired Air Force member from the Spirit of 45
The Folds of Honor ceremony that follows will feature the widow of the Iraq war veteran KIA, whose children are beneficiaries of the Folds of Honor Program.
