The March 25th tweetup event in Greater Lafayette, IN will now include the Twestival, a global event organized in 200+ cities around the world via social media tools to help a charity - at this edition the event will sponsor Concern Wordwide, an international charity bringing education to the world’s poorest children. Concern has been implementing innovative educational programs and solutions for over 40 years.

I feel like there are more things that should have been done, but I am comfortable, in the same time, because we managed to continue with having our Greater Lafayette city involved in this great global charity event. ...

Thanks to all that attended Wednesday night, the Lafayette tweetup #5 ended up with the most interesting conversation ever. so far. .

It was all a mixture of networking sub-events like new-media talks, the simulcast of Douglas Karr’s “Blogging Conversions” presentation at the event in Valparaiso, snacks and treats, Greater Lafayette community development ideas.

This time we only had a regular networking event, where topics like iPad, blogging, startups, music projects, community have been openly discussed. The participants also made plans for our local tweetups in 2010. Stay tuned for more news as we move forward.
