In September, we brought together the people, stories, and connections that have shaped Thrive over the past decade to celebrate 10 years since Thrive Impact Sourcing was first created.

It was a wonderful evening of reconnecting, reflecting, and hearing how careers have evolved over the years. We were especially grateful to have a few of Thrive’s original apprentices join us and share where their journeys have taken them, including careers in technology consulting.

Today, that work continues through the Thrive Accelerator, helping people in our community gain experience, build skills, and pursue careers in technology.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and to the many people who have contributed to Thrive’s story over the last 10 years. We're grateful for the relationships, opportunities, and impact we've created together, and look forward to continuing that work in our community.

Tech Tip Tuesday! What if the next big improvement to your business came from someone doing the work every day?

In the latest installment of our Tech Tales for the Curious series, Matt Kuhn shares the story of Brandon Schenz, former factory worker whose curiosity and initiative led him to develop a software solution that improved production efficiency by 3X.

Brandon saw how much time his team spent manually organizing work orders and found a better way to get the job done. His story highlights the value of listening to the people closest to a process and recognizing opportunities that others might overlook.

Over the weekend, members of our team volunteered at Red Wolf Sanctuary & Raptor Rehabilitation Center 🦊💚 in Rising Sun, Indiana, a nonprofit dedicated to rehabilitating injured wildlife and providing lifelong care for animals unable to return to the wild.

Our team spent the day helping build an enclosure for two young foxes, creating a safe space for their ongoing care. Along the way, we had the opportunity to explore the 450-acre sanctuary, meet some of its incredible wildlife, and learn more about its conservation efforts, including the successful rehabilitation and release of three bald eagles this year!

It was a rewarding experience for our team and a chance to support an organization doing meaningful work for wildlife in our community.

Thank you so much to Red Wolf Sanctuary & Raptor Rehabilitation Center for welcoming us and for everyone who volunteered their time!

is this week, and our team is looking forward to spending the day with Cincinnati’s developer community.
Mike Morse, Gary Prater, and Nina Burton will be representing Ingage Partners at the conference. If you’re attending, we hope you’ll connect with them between sessions.

Be sure to add Anna Chernova’s session to your agenda. Anna, an SDET at Ingage Partners, will present AI Can Make Mistakes: Stories from a Test Engineer at 2:15 PM in Ballroom C.

Through real-world examples, Anna will examine where AI has improved productivity, where it has produced convincing but inaccurate results, and what those experiences can teach software professionals about using AI responsibly.

Thank you to The Circuit and the entire Momentum team for creating an event that brings the region’s developer community together. We look forward to seeing you there!

Tech Tip Tuesday!
The quality of AI-assisted work depends on what happens before the prompt and after the response. Clear thinking up front gives AI better direction. Careful evaluation afterward determines whether the result actually belongs in production. That discipline matters as teams incorporate AI into more of their everyday development work.

In “The AI Suggested It,” by Brian Samson, we look at how organizations can adopt AI without allowing critical engineering skills and accountability to erode.

Read the article linked in the comment section below and consider: Where does your team draw the line between AI assistance and human approval?

This year, Pay It Forward Cincinnati's Social Impact Fund (SIF) winner was Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC), a local Cincinnati nonprofit that teaches young students ages 11-16 how to build a computer, program applications, and develop professional skills.

Pay It Forward Cincinnati is Ingage’s nonprofit partner. Together, we power the Social Impact Fund, a collective grant program built by generous employee donations and fully matched by Ingage.

This year, the SIF grant of $14,000 and up to 100 hours of pro bono consulting provided by Ingage was provided to BYOC, where we developed an AI curriculum for the students, a new course BYOC wanted to offer given how central AI has become. Building the curriculum meant starting with our audience and building them up from the ground up: we opened with Data Analytics, moved into Machine Learning, and wrapped up with Generative AI.

Along the way, students worked through hands-on activities in each module alongside numerous discussion topics, especially around ethics. As of late July, BYOC was able to run the course for around 10 students, which director Robin Walker called a big success.

Yesterday, members of the Ingage team hit the course for the 5th Annual Maya Grace Collins Memorial Golf Classic. ⛳
We were proud to support the The Live Like Maya Foundation and its work funding pediatric cancer research and supporting families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a meaningful one.

Being employee-owned shapes how we show up for each other, for our clients, and for the company we’re building together.

We asked a few of our employee-owners what that looks like from their perspective. Their answers touched on transparency, trust, strong relationships, accountability, and a shared investment in the work we do.

Different perspectives, connected by shared ownership and shared success.

Proud to be employee-owned. 💙 📢

The teams seeing the fastest impact from AI tend to share two things: readiness and proximity to the problem.

On one recent field-services project, the team rode along with technicians in the dead of winter before a single line of code was written. That firsthand insight helped define the problem clearly and gave the team what they needed to move quickly.

Clear problem. Real user insight. A team ready to move.

That’s where fast AI impact comes from.

When the problem is clear, the technology gets easier.
