From reading to recall in just a few taps.

Sometimes, the best way to remember something is to revisit it little and often.

With Flashcards in EasyReader Education Explore Tools, students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can use active recall and regular practice over time to reinforce what they have learned.

Flashcards sit alongside the text, allowing students to move directly from accessible reading to recalling key information in just a couple of taps. Designed for short, regular study sessions, they help students focus on what matters most and revisit important ideas.

This manageable approach helps reduce overload, strengthen memory and improve long-term retention. As students build their knowledge at their own pace, they can become more independent in their learning and feel more confident and better prepared for assessments.

Quiz that builds confidence with every question.

Every question gives students a chance to build on what they know.

With Quiz in EasyReader Education, students can instantly create multiple-choice questions from their selected text. It offers students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) a simple, manageable way to check their knowledge, strengthen recall and spot the topics they may need to revisit.

Every answer supports the next step in learning:

- Got it right? Students can see why their answer is correct and discover additional details to build their knowledge.

- Not quite? Quiz gently guides them back to the text, helping them revisit key ideas and develop their understanding.

This quick, structured practice strengthens recall and supports comprehension while making study and revision feel more manageable. For teachers and schools, it is an engaging way to encourage independent learning and help students approach assessments with greater confidence.

Guided support that encourages deeper thinking

The right guidance can encourage students to look beyond the words, explore ideas and develop a deeper understanding of what they are reading.

With AI Tutor in EasyReader Education Explore Tools, students can ask questions about the text they are reading and receive instant, guided support. Rather than simply providing the answer, the AI Tutor encourages learners to return to the text, explore ideas and think more deeply.

AI Tutor helps students to:

- Reflect on what they have read
- Investigate ideas further
- Make connections between concepts
- Build stronger understanding for themselves

By keeping students actively involved in their learning, AI Tutor helps schools support greater comprehension, independence and confidence for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We were delighted to be at the Tes SEND Show and loved the energy throughout the event!

It was fantastic to meet so many teachers, QTVIs, SENCOs and education professionals who were excited by the power of EasyReader. Visitors explored how its tools, alongside reader pens such as the Rocket Pen and ScanMarker Pro, can scan words and images directly into EasyReader.

This helps learners continue their learning on any device, both in the classroom and at home, with accessible settings personalised to their individual needs.

Thank you to everyone who visited us, shared their experiences and signed up for an EasyReader trial. We’re looking forward to working with you and helping more learners access content in a way that works for them!

A clearer way to understand the bigger picture

When students are concentrating on decoding text, understanding the key ideas can be challenging. For schools, providing the right support at the right time can help make learning more accessible and inclusive.

The Summary feature in EasyReader Education Explore Tools, helps break down the decoding barrier and accelerate understanding. In just two taps, students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can instantly generate a clear summary of a chapter or selected text.

Students can choose the level of support that works for them:

- Brief for a quick overview
- Standard for a balanced summary
- Detailed for a fuller explanation

Each summary can be read on screen or listened to with audio, supporting different reading and learning preferences.

With summarisation available instantly, students can quickly grasp key ideas and understand content more independently. Whether they are working in the classroom, studying at home or preparing for an assessment, Summary helps schools support greater understanding, confidence and independence for their students.

World Mental Health Day 2026

Tomorrow, Saturday 10 October, is World Mental Health Day, an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health, encourage open conversations and remind ourselves of the importance of looking after our wellbeing.

The day aims to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilise efforts in support of mental health.

This year’s theme is “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.” It highlights the importance of listening to people’s experiences and ensuring that everyone feels heard and supported. World Health Organization (WHO)

Mental health affects us all. In England, around one in four people will experience a mental health problem each year, which is why open conversations and access to support are so important. Mind

At Dolphin Computer Access, supporting employee wellbeing remains a key priority. We want everyone who works here to feel comfortable talking openly about how they are feeling and asking for support when they need it.

As we approach the weekend, we encourage everyone to take a little time for themselves. Small actions can have a positive impact on our wellbeing such as going on walk, reading a book, meeting up with a friend.

Sometimes, simply having a conversation and knowing that someone is listening can make a real difference.
