Last week, Carolyn was proud to represent TPSquared at South Staffordshire Council's Business Meets Education launch event, joining a panel of speakers to discuss the importance of meaningful work experience, employer encounters and stronger connections between industry and education.
The event provided the perfect opportunity to reflect on a project we're incredibly proud to have delivered with the Council.
Earlier this year, we were awarded a contract to create an accessibility-led toolkit supporting employers, schools, colleges and learners to maximise the value of work experience. We worked closely with stakeholders across education and industry, gathering insights through engagement activities to understand the challenges, opportunities and support needed to improve work experience outcomes for all.
We also collaborated with The Careers & Enterprise Company and key partners to ensure the toolkits reflected best practice and the needs of both employers and education providers. Drawing on this research and engagement, our team developed the content and designed a suite of practical resources to help organisations create meaningful work experience opportunities and stronger connections between education and employment.
Accessibility remained a priority throughout. Every resource was written, structured and designed with accessibility at its core, ensuring the toolkits are inclusive, easy to navigate and usable by the widest possible audience.
The resources support:
✅ Schools and colleges in delivering impactful work experience programmes
✅ Employers looking to engage with and develop future talent
✅ Learners seeking valuable workplace experience and career insights
A huge thank you to South Staffordshire Council for the opportunity to contribute to such an important initiative. We're proud to have played our part in a project that brings education and industry closer together, and we can't wait to see the positive impact these resources have on the young people in our region.
