A big thank you to Business Lincolnshire and Lincoln Bishop University for inviting us to speak at Tuesday’s Social Economy ‘Good Business’ Conference!

It was lovely meeting and learning from so many people on the day.

Our Marketing Manager, Nikki Langwell, shared Ruddocks’ journey to becoming a Certified B Corp, what we've learnt along the way and how certification has helped us build on what we were already doing, identify areas for improvement and become more accountable for our impact.

We also shared some practical takeaways for organisations to consider, from looking at where they're already making a positive difference to identifying gaps, setting meaningful goals and making sure their values are reflected in everyday decisions.

Whatever the size or purpose of an organisation, there's always something we can learn from each other and opportunities to do things better.

Our support for The Scouts never stops 💜 For our latest collaboration, our team designed and produced collateral for two new spaces.

Just in time for the 100th Gilwell Reunion event at Gilwell Park, which invited visitors to take part in inspiring workshops and activities!

For this project, we created colourful bunting and large-format boards displaying the Gilwell Story, and the 'triple birthday timeline' celebrating milestones within the Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels Scout groups. 🎈

We also a special film to reduce thermal gain and UV rays, to protect the heritage items on display and keep their colours vibrant for a long time.

It's always a pleasure to partner with The Scout Association, bringing their ideas to life since 2010!

Getting certified was huge for us, but being a B Corp isn’t about passing an assessment, getting a badge and moving on.

It’s about continuing to improve; looking at the impact you’re having, being honest about where you could do better and then doing something about it.

Hosting our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning 🍰 Our team came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support and enjoy home-baked treats!

Having worked with this charity for almost a decade, their mission is very close to our hearts. 💚

Not only as a business, but also personally for many in our team.

It’s FSC Forest Week! This global campaign brings people and businesses together around a common goal: to do our part to safeguard the world’s forests. 🌍

Forests are essential to biodiversity, climate resilience, economic stability, and the livelihoods of millions. And protecting them is a shared responsibility.

Supporting FSC UK since 2009 through our FSC® certification, we are always keen to share this campaign.

And this year, it's all about doing one thing differently, such as:

🛍️ Shifting consumption habits: buy second-hand products, reuse or repair old items.

📜 Responsibly sourced paper products: while planning your print projects, look for the FSC logo (which of course we'd be happy to help you with!)

🌿 Going plant-based: reducing meat consumption helps mitigate pressure on the world’s forests, reducing demand for deforestation in service of agriculture.

🚲 A day without driving: if possible, pick a day to venture out by walking, cycling, or taking public transport.

🌳 Connecting with nature: silence your phone and spend time outside by visiting forests, planting trees, or tending to a community garden.

When we all choose our one thing for forests, our individual efforts have a powerful collective impact - this week and every week. 🌳

10 years after transforming the British Steel brand, our team had the pleasure of visiting their site in Scunthorpe yesterday 🧡

There's something very special about returning here and seeing our creative work stand tall, a whole decade later!

While discussing an upcoming collaboration, we went on a site tour and reminisced about all our achievements together, from the early discovery sessions...

All the way to launching the new brand, which received 7 awards for our creative partnership at the 2017 Transform Awards Europe (https://www.ruddocks.co.uk/featured-work/british-steel-brand-transformation/)

As always, it's been a pleasure catching up with the British Steel team and wow!

The impressive scale of their steel manufacturing facilities never ceases to amaze us...

From the Lincoln B Social event this week 💛 As we approach 1 whole year as a Certified B Corp, we were very keen to attend this discussion organised by Social Change and Reuseabox

Our team had a lovely time catching up with other local B Corps and navigating the new standards set up by B Lab UK together.

The B Corp Certification™ has always been a thorough process, but these new criteria add another layer of rules to consider. 💬

And although we're still 2 years away before we need to recertify, it's really helpful to know now what’s changing and what it means for our business.

We left feeling inspired and better prepared for what's to come, with an effective approach we can use when navigating the new requirements.

Thank you to the organising team! It's lovely being part of such an amazing local community of like-minded individuals and driven organisations.

What's better than retail therapy? 🛍 When you know your purchases support a great local charity!

This was the idea behind the Grantham Warehouse - our recent collaboration with St Barnabas Hospice Charity Shops.

After the huge success of The Lincoln Warehouse, we once again joined forces to transform an empty factory building into a vibrant retail hub. 🏦

Our team brought the creative vision to life by designing and producing a wide range of supporting collateral.

From large format banners and wayfinding signs to clothes tags, floor stickers and other POS materials, we made the new warehouse in Grantham beam with personality and colour. 💙

A truly wonderful project we all enjoyed working on, and seeing its successful this summer made it all the more exciting!

Especially knowing that the funds raised in this charity superstore make the incredible work provided by the St Barnabas Hospice possible.
