As we all know, we are in a time of uncertainty and the situation is changing rapidly. Please find details below of our current action plan and how it could temporarily effect your business with us. Should anything change we will be sure to keep you updated.
Please be aware that Forum Computers intends to remain open for as long as possible with minimal disruption to the business, however we also take public health extremely seriously. We are taking into consideration all WHO and government measures and we will continue to follow the advice provided.
We are closely monitoring the progression of COVID-19 and have planned 3 stages of business continuity, we are currently at stage 1, but with the fast growth we are observing it seems likely we could progress to stage 2 in the coming weeks with little or no notice. Stage 3 will only take effect if absolutely necessary, we hope this will not be the case, but must remain prepared.
Stage 1 – Currently in effect
Forum Computers will be open for business as usual, but with some additional precautions.
All employees will regularly sanitise themselves, work areas and the devices we work with.
Cash payments will still be taken, but we advise payments to be made by card where possible.
Customer equipment will be disinfected with >99% isopropanol upon receipt. This is safe for use with electronic goods, does not damage surfaces and leaves no residue.
Where possible, repairs are recommended to be performed remotely under our Total Support plan.
Residential call outs will be postponed or cancelled.
Business support remains unaffected.
Stage 2 – May take effect with little notice
Forum Computers will be working behind closed doors.
The workshop will be closed to the general public, new repairs will not be accepted in-store.
Remote work may still be performed for those under our Total Support plan.
Pre-existing repairs will still be completed and may still be collected, but by appointment only.
Business support call outs will be considered on a case by case basis, remote work and support will remain unaffected.
Stage 3 – This is our last resort, and hopefully will not take effect.
Our engineers will be working from home.
All instore repairs will be suspended and collections will not be possible.
Remote assistance will still be offered for those on our Total Support plan.
Business support call outs will be considered on a case by case basis, remote work and support will remain unaffected.
