We’d love to invite you to a special brunch for female researchers who live and work in science in the Czech Republic.
Come and hear the inspiring story of Phuong Ngoc Pham, researcher at BIOCEV, and her journey through Czech science. We’ll also have plenty of time to share our own experiences — what we enjoy about working and living in the Czech Republic, as well as the things that challenge or concern us.

Our aim is to create a relaxed, open, and safe space where we can talk honestly, listen to one another, and hopefully discover that some of the things we’re navigating are more widely shared than we might think.

Autumn is gently knocking on the door: make your long autumn evenings more enjoyable by learning Czech. Join our online Czech courses for beginners and intermediates on Tuesdays.

Start date: 8 September 2026
Frequency of lessons: every Tuesday at 7:00 PM
Number of students: 10–12 students per group
Form of study: online

Qualified and experienced teachers lead the courses.

Both Czech language courses are free of charge for you. You can register for one language course only.

Today, we commemorate the anniversary of the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia on 21 August 1968.
We remember a time when the sovereignty of our country was violated and the aspirations for greater freedom were forcibly suppressed. Remembering this history is important not only to honor those who lived through it, but also to recognize the value of the freedoms we enjoy today.
At EURAXESS, we support a world in which researchers are free to move, collaborate, exchange ideas, and pursue knowledge across borders. These opportunities are made possible by democratic societies, mutual respect, and international cooperation.

In Italy, students get roughly 14 weeks away from their desks during the summer. Up in Denmark, summer lasts about 6 weeks, but school breaks are spread out more evenly across the entire year.
