Protecting young people online means protecting more than their personal data. It means protecting their wellbeing, too.

This , the theme “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change” reminds us how important it is to listen to young people who may be experiencing distress in the digital world.

When cyberbullying, harassment, scams or other online harms happen, young people need to know they can speak up and seek help, without fear or embarrassment. Open conversations on this topic with trusted adults can facilitate better mental health outcomes.

This Cyber Security Awareness Month we’ve partnered Zurich Canada to help families and youth recognize online risks and build stronger digital habits.

In collaboration with the Z Zurich Foundation and Junior Achievement Canada, we’re supporting young Canadians with practical skills to navigate an increasingly complex digital world.

This recent piece in Cybersecurity Dive covers a shift of the cyber industry as it relates to how insurers are addressing specific AI-related risks

“As concerns grew around AI-related attacks, BOXX added AI-driven social-engineering attacks and security failures,” said Erik Tifft, Global Head of Underwriting at BOXX.

The uncertainty around AI-related coverage has created a great deal of concern in the security industry. If policyholders don’t have clarity on whether they will have full insurance coverage, they may have to take additional measures to protect their systems from disruption and future liability.
