This whole Hi-Res Audio (Wireless) is becoming a big thing in gaming headsets… pumping a full 24-bit / 96kHz bandwidth signal wirelessly; ok that’s impressive; But like… does it really matter?
Games render audio at 48kHz (the two most common audio engines output to 48kHz). Consoles even max out at 48kHz, leaving 96kHz as more of a nice-have feature for your FLAC files for music listening. But don’t fall for the hi-res sticker for anything gaming related.
I’ve been using the two headsets with this certification and just like with gaming mice, specs are secondary. Shape is king, or as with headsets, driver tuning and comfort are king.
