Seventy years ago, a group of brave women marched to the Union Buildings in protest against an unjust system. Today, on 9 August 2026, we honour the strength, resilience and courage of every woman in South Africa, past and present.
While we celebrate the remarkable contributions women make in our families, communities, workplaces and society, we also recognise the challenges that remain. South Africa continues to face one of the highest rates of gender-based violence in the world, reminding us that the journey towards equality, dignity and safety for all women is not yet complete.
At Nexio, we are committed to creating an environment where women's voices are heard, their achievements celebrated, and their potential fully realised.
As we honour the women who came before us, we remain dedicated to fostering a culture where every woman can contribute, grow and thrive.
