ATTENTION I'm extremely disappointed with both Kia of Van Nuys and Kia America, please share my experience because what happens with larger customer issues.
This is my second vehicle purchase from Kia of Van Nuys, and my family currently owns six Kia vehicles, including two that I personally own. We've been loyal customers because we trusted the Kia brand and its commitment to customer service.
Unfortunately, that trust has been damaged.
When I purchased my vehicle, I was not informed that a hidden door handle component was missing. During the sales process, the salesperson consistently opened the driver's door for me whenever I entered or exited the vehicle, which prevented me from discovering the missing part until after the purchase was complete.
Once I reported the issue, I was promised a replacement door handle component and a key blank. More than six weeks later, neither has been provided.
I've made numerous phone calls, sent emails, and escalated the matter to Kia America, yet I've received little to no meaningful communication or resolution.
At this point, the issue is no longer just about the missing part or key blank. It's about accountability, follow-through, and how loyal customers are treated after the sale. No customer should have to spend weeks chasing answers for commitments that were made at the time of purchase.
I'm publicly asking Kia of Van Nuys and Kia America to honor their commitments and finally resolve this matter.
Six weeks of unanswered calls and emails may seem minor to Kia, but to a customer who owns two Kias and whose family owns six, it speaks volumes about the post-sale customer experience.
