Since introducing the eReject process in the DRS eTMF, teams have continued to make great progress - and we’re taking it one step further!

To make document corrections even smoother, we’ve added a reminder notification and escalation system designed to keep eTMF updates front and center for submitters and study teams.

Here’s what’s new:
🔹 Instant notifications – As soon as an issue is detected, submitters receive a real-time email for quick action.
🔹 Automatic reminders – If the issue isn’t fixed within the set timeframe, the system sends friendly reminders to help keep things on track.

Sample Accountability – Paper to Electronic!🧪📄

Paper isn't that common anymore, but at one time, it was the norm!

Before the streamlined workflows we have today, retrieving documents for sample accountability at DRS meant a lot of detective work.

When a sponsor needed proof of where a sample came from, who signed for it, and where the sample was left, our team would:
✅ Search through physical and digital archives - often spread across multiple systems
✅ Verify accuracy by cross-checking paper forms and scanned PDFs.
✅ Compile and deliver the complete documentation package - ensuring the chain of custody was accounted for every step of the way.

It wasn’t quick, but it was thorough - and it laid the foundation for the fast, centralized retrieval process we used with PharmaSync, our signature capture tool for pharma sales representatives, and Web ImagView, our reporting tool. Some of these features are also used in our DRS eTMF system today!

Because at DRS, whether it’s then or now, accuracy and accountability are always at the heart of what we do.
