Donated our services to the Meriden Historical Society & Museum. We will be assisting with running new network drops without disrupting the building, adding a new ceiling mount protector, unifi wifi access points and migration to Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint.

After waiting for hours for a Dell technician, an email came that told me to just follow the X option. Sure enough it worked WITHOUT data loss

We are not a one trick pony, our main business is IT services. This week we're presented with the server that no longer boots up to the OS. There are a few fixes for this issue, but all the easy ones have failed us. One of the online suggestions is to an X the box. It actually says that it could create data corruption or data loss. Do we press the x? Spent $1,100 on Dell tech support I'll post an update on what fixes this.

As a business owner, we take credit cards for payment. Our processing fees last month were almost $1,700. This means that we lost $1,700 as the cost of doing business. I'm away on vacation and I see the they're starting to charge more for credit card use. This means that all the points you get back by using your credit card are now coming out of your own pocket. So are you getting points back or are you paying yourself for the points back. It's costing you more money to use credit cards today.

Passed inspection and now we wait for the walls to go in, ceiling, and paint before we return. What an amazing building. I told the owner how grateful we were that he gave us the opportunity. It was nice to hear his response, and see guess reaction when he was awarded the permits. He expressed his extremely happy to have awesome teams behind him to get him where he was. I love working for people like that.

Don't you just love getting these meetings in your email that you need to RSVP too? The only thing is you don't know who they are or what they want. Do these really work or do they carry a bigger surprise?

Looks real?
Scammers are getting better with the use of AI to assist in creating the pages. I was able to log into "my" account using humourous false information and a password that spells out a very bad word! Yet....•poof• I got in!
Now it's time to update my card. I used different information than I used to log in, use test credit card numbers from the web and the processor actually worked! of course it failed because it's all fake information but I kept updating it in hopes to create an issue with this credit card processor.
The moral of the story is you need to be extremely careful with emails. Emails are the number one way that people are being scammed.

The penny.... not worth much on its own, but if you can put away 1 cent every 5 to 10 minutes through the course of 12 hours, 7 days in a row, you would not be doing to bad. At Taco Bell, my order was $12.21 and I was given change for $12.25. At the gas station, I bought a few drinks and it came out to $5.22 and my change was made for $5.25
I get it, when you're at $5.23, You're in the middle of a rounding function for $5.22 and $5.21 should be rounded down to $5.20. $5.23 and $5.24 can be round up to 5:25

So now I use my credit card to make sure that I'm not spending $0.30 a day on rounding issues. When you use a credit card, the business actually is losing money. I'm being taught through example to no use cash.

Why can't we program our cash registers to round? We all knew that the penny was going away, but why invest in programming when you're making a few dollars a day on cash transactions?

The Xray machine is being completed for one of our new dentists build outs and they need the computers setup immediately. I have plans with the family, so I am off to NY to install computers while they sleep tonight. Family first
