For three years, one Friday night tradition in Clifton, Texas, has brought Bosque County neighbors together for a shared purpose.

Hamburger Night at American Legion Post #322 raises scholarship funds for local students — and this year hit a new milestone.

"This year, we gave out nine $1,000 scholarships, which is better than what we've been doing in previous years," said Post Commander J.D. Godby.

This year's Hamburger Night also marked the donation of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to the Post. The need was identified by the late Bosque County Commissioner Ronny Liardon after a veteran suffered cardiac arrest at the Post earlier this year — quick action from the Clifton Police Department helped save his life. Ronny called CyrusOne the next day to help make sure an AED would always be on hand.

Watch the video to hear from J.D. on what Hamburger Night means to the Post, from CyrusOne CEO John Hatem on what brought our team there, and see the night in action.

We've celebrated another CyrusOne first: the topping out of a substation! ⚡

Why does that matter? Because it shows what being a power-first data center operator looks like in practice.

In Frankfurt-Sossenheim, Germany, we joined Syna and our project partners to mark the topping out of the FRA6 110 kV substation with a traditional German Richtfest.

This milestone comes just six months after construction of the substation began in March 2026. This remarkable accomplishment was made possible through close coordination between every team, bringing together the technical expertise, planning and on-site delivery required to build critical power infrastructure.

The FRA6 substation is a tangible example of what early grid engagement, strong utility partnerships and coordinated delivery can achieve.

Above all, this milestone recognizes the people behind that progress. Thank you to our power team, especially at CyrusOne, and our partners Syna, Lanz Bau, AWR Abbruch GmbH , KUA DC and everyone across the wider project team whose expertise, collaboration and commitment brought the substation to this point.

Watch the video to meet some of the people and partnerships behind this CyrusOne first.

Cooling data centers is essential. Consuming water to do it is a design choice.

In this video, Jim Roche, EVP and Chief Technology Officer, and Kyle Myers, VP of Sustainability at CyrusOne, break down the cooling process and explain how water has been treated as a precious resource in our data center designs for more than a decade.

Some cooling systems rely on evaporation to release heat, which can consume millions of gallons of water each month at a large campus. CyrusOne prioritizes closed-loop, air-cooled chilling systems. Instead of evaporating water to reject heat, these systems recirculate the same coolant and release the heat into the air.

That distinction matters. At our facilities, water is used for needs such as humidification, restrooms and fire suppression systems, not for cooling.

The story of Freestone County is best told by the people shaping it every day.

In this video, three Freestone County voices share what growth looks like from their perspective. Andrea McVey of Dessert by Mommacakes talks about serving new faces in the community. Scooter Long of The Butcher’s Choice reflects on creating opportunities for his employees. Marla Lookabill of the Freestone County Fair & Rodeo Association shares why supporting local young people means so much to the families who call the county home.

Together, their stories offer a closer look at the businesses, relationships and traditions that connect this community.

Watch the video to hear their experiences in their own words. We’re grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn and become part of Freestone County’s story.

Our customers trust us with the infrastructure that keeps their businesses running, and that trust is built through the work our teams do together every day.

For the second year running, we welcomed customers from across our London data centers to LON4 in the UK for an afternoon away from the day-to-day, filled with good conversation and plenty of pizza. 🍕

It was a chance to simply say thank you, catch up outside the data halls, spend time together, and recognize the relationships behind the work that keeps critical services online around the clock.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Jacob Dowsett, Regional Operations Director, and our London facilities teams for bringing everyone together.

For students, confidence can grow quickly when they have the chance to put workplace skills into practice alongside industry professionals. 🤝

At UTC Heathrow in Northwood, England, Year 10 and Year 12 students took part in a Project Regeneration Day focused on applying classroom learning to a real-world workplace challenge.

As part of CyrusOne’s commitment to the Digital Futures Programme, Andreas Rathmann, Director of Utilities, joined industry volunteers to support students as they reimagined a decommissioned power station as a self-contained smart city.

The challenge put teamwork, leadership and presentation skills into practice, while asking students to think through sustainable power, digital infrastructure and how data centers integrate within wider communities.

“Partnerships with employers such as CyrusOne are vital in helping to bridge the gap between education and industry. By sharing their expertise, experience and insight, they enable students to better understand the opportunities available to them and equip them with the skills needed to succeed in the rapidly growing infrastructure sector,” said Wayne Edwards, Headteacher at UTC Heathrow.

Thank you to UTC Heathrow, the teachers and volunteers who made the experience possible.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Natalia Delaune 🌟

For Natalia Delaune, VP Legal, Labor & Compliance at CyrusOne, the goal is often simple: bring clarity to complicated situations.

Whether she’s working through labor and employment matters, cross-functional risk, crisis response or policy design, Natalia’s role goes well beyond answering legal questions. It’s about helping teams understand the issue, align on a path forward and make thoughtful decisions.

“I’m always trying to cut through the noise, get everyone aligned, and leave things clearer and calmer. That’s a win in my book.”

That collaborative mindset extends to the people around her. Natalia credits her legal team colleagues for bringing different perspectives to the table, while sharing the same high standards and genuine kindness toward one another.

Outside of work, life stays just as active. Natalia stays busy supporting her two kids and their many interests - from volleyball, baseball and horseback riding to drums and piano. More recently, the whole family has added pickleball to the mix.

Before a data center ever connects to the grid, there’s a lot of work to answer one critical question: Can the power system support it reliably?

In this video, Gene Alessandrini, EVP and Chief Development Officer at CyrusOne, explains how power availability and grid reliability factor into site selection, from evaluating generation and transmission capacity to working with utilities on the infrastructure needed to serve a site.

He also explains how utilities plan for reserve capacity so the grid can continue reliably serving homes, businesses and other customers as new demand comes online.

There are a lot of factors behind that process, but the priority is straightforward: reliability has to remain at the center of the conversation.

Watch the video to learn more about how that planning works.

What if the water cooling a data center didn’t go down the drain?

In a closed loop cooling system, it doesn’t.

Instead, the water is recirculated, absorbing heat from the data center, carrying it outside where the heat is released, then returning to repeat the process.

Think of it less like running a faucet and more like a continuous circuit: move the heat, keep the water.

That distinction matters when talking about how data centers use water and how cooling system design can reduce the need for a continuous supply of new water.

So, what actually happens inside the loop? Follow the journey.

A new school year is a big moment for any community. In Bosque County, Texas, it was an opportunity to make sure students and teachers had a few more resources behind them. 📚

Ahead of the school year, 30 laptops and baskets of school supplies were donated to Kopperl ISD in Bosque County, along with appreciation bags for every teacher in recognition of the work they do for their students each day.

It’s the teachers, staff, families and students who make a school community what it is, and we were glad to play a small part in helping them start the school year strong.

Thank you to everyone at Kopperl ISD for the warm welcome!
