Introducing Media Uploads in PixElement, a new way to bring supplemental project information directly into the Canvas.

Add documents, spreadsheets, videos, ground-level imagery, and other reference files alongside your processed project data. Uploaded media can be positioned using location metadata or manual placement, categorized, and annotated with names and notes to keep important project context connected to the right location.

A lot has changed in PixElement this year.

From new tools for working with LiDAR and project data to expanded StockpileStudio capabilities, media workflows, camera controls, and more, we’ve continued building out the tools available across PixElement Cloud and Desktop.

This video provides a quick look at some of the new features and workflow improvements introduced so far this year.

Some of these features already have full tutorials available, with additional walkthroughs coming soon as we continue expanding our tutorial library.

FastDraft just got an upgrade. We’ve improved the FastDraft workflow in PixElement, making it easier to connect your photogrammetry projects with professional 2D and 3D CAD drafting services.

What’s new?
• Improved FastDraft workflow — A smoother experience for submitting and managing drafting requests.
• View raw CAD deliverables in PixElement — Completed CAD files can now be visualized directly within the app, giving you a better look at your deliverables without leaving your project.

How can AI improve real-world photogrammetry workflows? At the 2026 ASPRS EGLR Summer Technical Meeting, PixElement's Benjamin Vander Jagt presented “Using AI in Production Photogrammetry and Geospatial Workflows,” exploring how AI and automation can help address some of the persistent challenges encountered in production mapping.

The presentation looks at applications including semantic segmentation, depth estimation, surface normals, automated repair of problematic 3D data, point cloud classification, and improvements to true orthophoto production.

PixElement now lets you filter point cloud classifications directly at the source. Before generating your final 3D Mesh or Orthomosaic, simply toggle off unwanted noise, vegetation, or artifacts from your original LAS files.

The result? Isolate bare earth or essential structures without the distraction of peripheral objects.
