We’re excited to introduce something new at Lightscape — Lightscape Lab.
Lightscape Lab is a hands-on technical training series focused on the real systems and workflows used in modern lighting and production environments.
These labs are designed for anyone who wants to better understand the technology behind the craft — whether you’re working in film, live events, theatre, installation, or looking to enter the industry for the first time.
We know production work often comes in waves. In between gigs can be one of the best times to learn new technical skills, expand your knowledge, and add experience to your résumé that can help lead to more opportunities on future jobs.
Our goal with Lightscape Lab is simple:
Create a place where technicians can build practical skills, gain confidence with modern lighting systems, and grow within the production community.
We’re kicking things off with our first class:
Intro to DMX
Instructor: Brandon Davis
March 19-20
9-1pm
Lab registration is $250
(We know $250 is real money — the goal of these labs is to give you skills you can actually use on the next job you land.)
This beginner-friendly lab will cover the fundamentals of DMX lighting control and provide hands-on experience with the tools and workflows used on professional productions.
If you’ve ever been curious about how lighting systems actually communicate and operate — this is a great place to start.
Seats are intentionally limited to keep the class interactive.
We’re really excited about our festured trainers coming for the first series of labs!
