HiFi Buys

HiFi Buys is the premier destination for high-end audio in Atlanta. Our welcoming showroom is located in Buckhead.

In 1973, Mel Silverman opened HiFi Buys, a mid- to high-end audio store on Peachtree Road. In 2015, industry veteran Alan Jones revived the brand with a new showroom in Buckhead. Jones brings over 30 years of high-fidelity audio experience to this new incarnation of the beloved brand. For two decades, Jones led successful operations at Audio Alternative in the Atlanta area. His dedication and longevity has afforded him a rich perspective and unparalleled reputation, both of which he has worked to cultivate for years.

⌛Let's do the time warp again!⌛

🫦 On this day in 1975, The Rock Horror Picture Show opens in Westwood, California! This legendary production became a midnight-movie sensation, fueling a countercultural movement across the world. The late actor Tim Curry made his very first film debut on this movie, with an unbelivebly captivating performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

Interestingly, this movie is STILL technically in "Limited Release", with official screenings happening at small theaters 51 years after its premiere. This makes Rocky Horror the longest-running theatrical release in history!
