In 1973, Mel Silverman opened HiFi Buys, a mid- to high-end audio store on Peachtree Road. In 2015, industry veteran Alan Jones revived the brand with a new showroom in Buckhead. 👾On this day in 2019, the sixth studio album by Tyler, The Creator was released. Named "Igor", the innovative hip-hop album deals with themes of love, jealousy, heartbreak, and loss. It was produced entirely by Tyler himself, and includes guest features from the likes of Playboi Carti, Lil U*i Vert, and more!

🎂Happy Birthday to Dr. Robert Moog, the engineer and inventor behind the Moog synthesizer. He was born in New York City on this day in 1934! The Moog was the first commercial synthesizer, bringing a level of practicality and affordability that changed the world of electronic music equipment. 🤖!!THESE ROBOTS ROCK!!🤖

💿On This Day in 2013, Daft Punk released their landmark album "Random Access Memories" to widespread acclaim. Their fourth studio album took eight years of hard work, and brought with it a game-changing sound. It's success made the album Daft Punk's first US chart topper. Known for their use of sampling, the band decided to take a new direction on this album. The songs would feature samples, but every sample used in the production was recorded directly for use on the album. Recording sessions often involved inviting in legendary musicians to just "jam" and play their instruments, with the robotic duo cutting the performances into samples for the final track. This approach led to a great amount of control over the quality of the recording of every element in each track, and the high production value captured the attention of the audiophile hobby. Soon enough, this incredible album has become an irreplaceable staple within our community! 🤖💖🤖
