In 1973, Mel Silverman opened HiFi Buys, a mid- to high-end audio store on Peachtree Road. In 2015, industry veteran Alan Jones revived the brand with a new showroom in Buckhead. ☮️Peace & Love!☮️

👉On this day in 1969, hippie counterculture hit it's peak with the opening of the legendary Woodstock festival. Crowds of almost 500k people descended on a small dairy farm in Bethel, NY... Making for one of the largest music festivals in history. The event was not ready for such a turnout, leaving many without shade, restrooms, or food for the 3-day-long music retreat. Even through the strife, the crowd unified within its message of peace and love and overcame the adversity, leaving a lasting impression on music culture.
