We are honoured to have been invited by NUS Cities to contribute to the critical conversation on “Next-Generation Tech and New Urban Realities” at the recent World Cities Summit 2026.

A key highlight was the sharing by Dr. Rex Hou, Solution Director of Public Sector APAC. He detailed how technologies like 5G, IoT Sensing, Public Compute, and Digital Twins are foundational to building the sustainable, efficient cities of tomorrow.

Dr. Hou left us with a powerful thought: “How fast a city goes is decided by its technology. How far, by its governance. Whether anyone comes along — by whether it’s worth a life.”

The 10th Huawei ICT Competition Global Finals concluded successfully on 5th June 2026 in Shenzhen, bringing together 177 finalist teams from over 40 countries and region.

From the national rounds to the global stage, participants went against more than 220,000 students from over 2,000 universities and colleges worldwide.

We were honoured to participate in the Singapore New Energy Metals & Materials Forum 2026.

During the forum, Mr. Long David Wang Long David, Director of Charging Network Business and Head of Digital Power Solution, Huawei International Pte Ltd, delivered a keynote presentation titled “Building Green, Reliable, Flexible and Economical Smart Microgrid Systems to Light Up the World”.

The presentation highlighted how Smart Microgrid and Megawatt EV Charging solutions integrating renewable energy, energy storage systems (ESS) and intelligent energy management can help mining industry enhance energy reliability, optimise operational costs and support their sustainability journey.

When you challenge students to build a Smart Multi-Agent AI System for industrial plants, the results are nothing short of brilliant! 🚀

The Huawei track of this year's National AI Student Challenge (NAISC) is centered on 'AI in Smart City', challenging over 50 student teams to develop innovative solutions for Singapore's urban landscape. We tasked these talented students with creating systems for real-time anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and decision support. Armed with imagination, deep research, and a passion for learning, the top five teams delivered innovative solutions for critical sectors like manufacturing, cooling systems, power grids, and water treatment.

By leveraging the full suite of services—including IoT Device Access, Elastic Cloud Server, Object Storage Service, and ModelArts —these future innovators built end-to-end AI solutions from the ground up.

💧 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗥𝗖: A sophisticated four-agent monitoring and reasoning system dedicated to safeguarding water treatment infrastructure.

❄️ 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗢𝗽𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀: An AI-powered predictive maintenance platform that helps operators detect and predict cooling system failures before they escalate. It combines ML and multi-agent AI to monitor systems, predict degradation, and provide actionable recommendations.

🌞 Sunshine, 🚴 sports, 📖 books, 🎨 hobbies, and 💓 new friendships.

That was the spirit of our 2026 “3+1” Activity Weeks in Huawei Singapore.

Over the past few weeks, colleagues stepped away from their desks to try new activities, reconnect with old interests, stay active, and spend time with one another. Along the way, healthy snack packs and a week-long fruit programme added a small but meaningful boost to the journey.

Work matters. But the people behind the work matter even more.

A healthy organisation is built one conversation, one shared experience, and one positive habit at a time.

🎉 Celebrating Singapore's Next-Generation AI Talent! 🎉

We are thrilled to have partnered with AISingapore for the second year as a challenge track partner for the National AI Student Challenge (NAISC)! This year's Huawei track, centered on 'AI in Smart City', saw over 50 student teams developing innovative solutions for Singapore's urban landscape.

🏆 A huge congratulations to the champion team Imagine Winning from Nanyang Polytechnic for their winning solution, NeoPulse! This AI platform enables proactive industrial maintenance by detecting anomalies, identifying root causes, simulating impacts via a digital twin, and recommending actions to prevent downtime. We were honoured to have Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) and Ministry of Health (Singapore) grace the event and present the prizes to the winning teams.

Huawei was honoured to participate in the recent symposium by Silver Caregivers Co-operative Ltd, sharing our perspective on “Leveraging AI for better healthcare”.

We believe technology’s highest purpose is to empower humanity. This was brought to life as participants experienced our health monitoring devices first hand, including the revolutionary ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring on the HUAWEI WATCH D2.
