Devexpa Incubating Possible Ideas DEVEXPA was founded in 2007 in Singapore. In the same year the company opened an Italian restaurant focused on Piedmontese Cuisine.

In the beginning the company operated as a boutique consulting firm that helped Italian SMEs to build a presence in Singapore and expand in South East Asia. The company was also marginally involved in architectural design with a particular focus on interior design for restaurants and art galleries. Wine import operations took off in 2008 with a portfolio of 25 Italian wineries, which included some

of the most exclusive brands, serving many of the most established restaurants in Singapore.
2010 saw a short partnership with a contemporary art gallery DEVEXPA designed in now trendy Tiong Bahru. Early operations also included business development for a group of Italian contemporary artists which culminated in Sydney, Australia in 2013 with the biggest overseas exhibition ever organised in the history of the group. In 2017 the company started pivoting its focus on IT, developing a web-based procurement system designed for the F&B industry.

Leonardo Beconcini in his estate (Pietro Beconcini Agricola), next to a 100-years-old Tempranillo vine. Forty five days ago, 1,500 new Tempranillo vines were planted in a 2,500 sqm selected plot of the property (on the left in the picture). Production is expected to start in 3 to 4 years.
Out of curiosity, the two cats in the background are Micetta (L) and Pinzimonio (R).

This is a special recommendation for one of the best winemakers in Italy. Moschioni is based in an area, Collio, famous for its great white wines. He produces ONLY REDS, from native grape varieties, utilising indigenous yeasts, without filtration.
Today I recommend the ROSSO, a wine you can enjoy with friends over a BBQ or a dinner at home. It's a fresh and fruity wine, excellently paired with grilled meat, cold cuts and medium aged cheese. All grapes are harvested by hand and fermented individually. It's a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Refosco and Tazzelenghe. Open 30 minutes before drinking, serve at 18/20°C. Fantastic!
