More security, observability, and control are now built into Varnish Enterprise. Starting with release 6.0.18r5, Varnish Enterprise licenses include additional capabilities for:
▶️ Cluster-wide rate limiting and token validation
▶️ OpenTelemetry export for logs, metrics, and traces
▶️ Dynamic routing and state management at the edge
▶️ Enhanced storage metrics and performance capabilities

Writing custom VMODs traditionally means working with C, managing memory, and handling boilerplate code. With varnish-rs, developers can take a different approach. 🦀

Built with Rust, varnish-rs makes it easier to create custom extensions for Varnish, giving developers more flexibility to build new functionality without the complexities of writing everything in C. What started as a small experiment has grown into a comprehensive development toolkit, making it easier to extend Varnish's capabilities, create custom backends, and more.
