All Domestic,Commercial and industrial Electrical works umdertaken. I Believe I am a very unique individual with a varied array of skills suitable for a multitude of applications. After leaving school and being part of a family construction business I have been in the building industry since my early teens. I have an instilled set of core values such as sense of urgency, time keeping and getting t

he job done whatever that may entail and always working to the highest of my ability regardless of time and client pressures. I have spent a long time of my life working as I enjoy what I do. I always do what is required to make sure deadlines are kept. I always ask questions and love to learn about new technology’s and constantly changing adapting to ever changing methods or ways of doing things. From a young age I had a passion for taking things apart finding out how they work and putting them back together especially with computers which then progressed into cars and then electronics gaining new skills in anything that I do be it a job, hobby or even works within my own home. I cannot say no to any new challenges and love helping people achieve the desired outcome.

Sometimes you just get to go to those jobs you wont forget ever.

The cpc to these acessories has been removed completley. Less than ideal.

Upon pulling the socket forward the line conductor wasnt terminated in place.

These are just a couple of things we found on a recent EICR of a shop.

As well as melted connector block in a light switch the cable was phsically warm to touch also.

At the time of test all the lighting for the entire building was found tagged into a 32 amp mcb suspected due to overloading (clamped at 9 amps)

Remedial work is ongoing at current. Including removal of old unused circuits and cable.

Then full labeling and schedules can take place to make it much easier for the next time any maintinance or electrical work is undertaken. It isnt easy working around a shop thats open 7 till midnight 7 days a week.

However we are managing to keep the buissness open while carrying out vital remedials and upgrades.

From time to time we all have one of those jobs. Where you get a call to do 1 thing,in this case fit some new lights.

Sometimes you have to stop and call the owner and carry out immediate works to make safe something that is dangerous.

Just for context all these were in a shop store room. Where lights had been added very poorly. On inspection conductors had been twisted together with no means of connection some bare with 230V flowing the gentleman working in the shop had no idea.

See one picture where there was already signs of arching on the back of the light fitting. Safe isolation was immediately carried out and all cables made safe to control immediate danger.

The owner immediatley met us at the property to discuss, as he had recently taken on the property. Which included a satisfactory electrical condition report.

Electrical safety is very important and is sometimes overlooked. We made this safe the same day and still carried out our expected works. We reccomended a full EICR, which is booked in, out of hours as to not disturb the buissness.

So this isnt something i do a lot of but I was asked if i could help and as most know I don't ever say no.

So i rewired amd installed the customers surround soumd system and installed a new laser projector for them utalising their existing >100" screen.

They were overjoyed with the outcome and were really impressed with the new sound from their old surround sound system. Sometimes all it takes is to use good quality cabling and installation to make a massive difference.

From an old legrand failing consumer unit to a nice New Hager design consumer unit with Rcbos for the living room, kitchen and ground floor circuits and a distribution circuit for the shed.

Moving over to the new board also alowed us to split up the circuits properly rather than having 2 ring final circuits plus a spur on one 32 amp mcb (not ideal). Leaving our customer with a safe compliant install.

This also allowed the Shed to finally be on its own circuit so as to avoid nusiance tripping the circuits in the house. Which used to trip at 1 of 2 of the 2 consumer units in the house.

Leaving the customer in the dark under fault conditions therefore making it akward to put the power back on for the home owner.

Changing this board allowed us to make use of the existing RCD in the shed which wasn't even wired in before we started on the job.

Making a safer and compliant install for the customer.

Recieved a callout to a property with a tripping fault. The way the property is wired some circuits on the sector board. Some on the legrand. Issue was when the board tripped it left 1/2 the house in darkness.

Fault finding and testing found the RCBO (supply to board 2) to be failing at 6mA at 1st visit. Replacement was sourced and replaced to keep the power on :)

A few more finishing touches to the inside of our project in trentham with 24v COB LED from UltraLEDS used in the glass fronted cabinets for the bar then a run of 24V COB LED for the new built in wardrobe.

Then we hung the customers 65" tv in the new combined dining living space.
