We have made some improvements to the LINX Member Portal.

Just some of the improvements to our portal stats, following member feedback;

- Discards are now available as a metric in the stats drop down
- A new optics tab shows received and transmitted light levels for your ports, including per lane values
- The peers view now supports more peers, keeps your selected time period, and exports full member names

Following last years survey we made some positive changes.

In 2025, You said..."Enhance Portal for traffic analytics and offer advanced monitoring and traffic insights that help members optimise their networks"

So we made BGP session visibility available directly within the portal. LINX members can view session status, uptime, prefix counts and rejection reasons without needing to contact the NOC or use Looking Glass.

We've also improved BGP workflow management with clear confirmation when changes are complete, and introduced maintenance and outage visibility so members can quickly see planned and active work affecting their services.

So far this month we have activated over 45 new services, from peering to cloud connect to Microsoft Azure Peering Service 🌐

This is a mix of new LINX member ports and service and existing members adding additional capacity and services.

Last Friday we were proud sponsors of The Kenya Peering Forum (KePF), a fantastic event hosted by Technology Service Providers of Kenya (TESPOK) and the Kenya Internet Exchange Point (KIXP).

Patrick Mbogo from team LINX was in attendance for a productive day of networking and discussions centred around cybersecurity, resilient peering, the changing ISP landscape, AI integrations, data centre sustainability, and sector policy.

The wider LINX team have great memories from week including a fantastic safari event courtesy of our Kenyan partners Africa Data Centres, a chance to network in the wild! Asante sana!

LINX CFO Andrew Fabian continued on to Ghana for meetings and made time to visit our LINX Accra partners PAIX Data Centres and Digital Realty. Currently we are offering a no charge period for all LINX services in Ghana as we build our peering ecosystem 🌐
