LionRock Maritime is joining us as a Technology Partner at Helm Conference 2026!

LionRock turns AIS data into towage intelligence, no onboard hardware required. Their tools read tug movement to work out fuel use, emissions, speed behaviour, and job-level activity, then hand it back as something a fleet manager can act on. PortExplorer for market and port traffic, speed tracking for the difference between a captain running 650 RPM and 550 RPM, and a market data API if you want it in your own BI stack. Built specifically for harbor towage, which describes a good chunk of the room.

They'll be running a session on the efficiency and safety metrics you can pull out of AIS data, and they'll have an exhibit table across all three days.

Getting to Victoria takes an extra connection and possibly a boat. We hear about it regularly.

So in our latest Notes from the Event Director, we cover why it's worth the trip: no car needed, everything within a twenty-minute walk of the Empress, and a working harbor rather than a postcard of one. Float planes, pilot boats, tugs, and a picturesque setting you won't soon forget.
