STOP IS NOT A SUGGESTION. IT IS A COMMAND. 🛑
Look at the road. Eight sides. Red paint. Bold white letters.
It doesn’t say “Pause if you feel like it.” It doesn’t say “Yield if you’ve got the time.” It’s a line in the asphalt, a boundary in the air. A command.
In today’s world, drivers tap the brake, roll the tire, and treat a STOP sign like an option. A mild inconvenience. A suggestion. And that carelessness is literally killing people.
But it doesn’t end at the intersection. We’ve carried that same reckless rolling freeze into everything else we touch:
In personal relationships, when someone sets a boundary, but we keep pushing.
In business, when ethics yell halt, but profit demands we roll right through.
In conversations, when someone says enough, but we overtalk and overpower.
In bullying, when a victim cries out, and people turn a blind eye and keep driving.
We have forgotten how to halt. We have forgotten how to respect the limit.
So listen.
The next time you’re behind the wheel and you see STOP, press the pedal down. The next time you’re in a room, in a deal, in a fight, or in a conversation and you hear STOP.
