✨ SAVE THE DATE for StopGap’s PROMise Party! ✨

Our annual fundraiser returns for its 9th year - with a new name and theme. Join us on November 12th from 7-10 PM at CSI Spadina (192 Spadina Ave) in Toronto.

Access was prom-ised by 2025 - We’re still working (and dancing) to help make it happen.

In 2005, Ontario made a promise: that by January 1, 2025, our province would be fully accessible. That promise, written into the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), was a landmark commitment to removing barriers. But now, the graduation date has passed, and the province has fallen short.

PROMise Party is the theme of this year’s fundraiser: a radically joyful, inclusive reimagining of a classic rite of passage. It is also our response to a broken commitment. A community-powered night that says: “We will not wait quietly for inclusion. We will celebrate. We will gather. And we will help create the barrier-free Ontario that we were promised.”

Sometimes I think about all of my hobbies, skills, and interests that have come and gone throughout my life. Most of my childhood, my free time was spent drawing or playing video games. And maaaybe the occasional attempt to play an instrument.

Through adolescence I looked forward to the first snowfall so I could snowboard every chance I got. Baseball, sewing, kayaking; they all disappear and pop back up when I feel inspired to engage in them again. Some old interests, some new.

The one that always stuck around in its many forms was art. I always feel compelled to continue drawing, painting, or creating digital art. What a privilege to be able to explore so many avenues in life and find our favourite activities.

Here's to exploring our hobbies (past, present, and future), and forever finding new things that inspire us ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Another oldie! A couple years ago I created this fun logo and crest for Toronto Tennis Academy. Being a high-end academy for kids and teens, it needed to appear upscale, yet still youthful. Mission accomplished!
