Yesterday, our CyberPro team had the opportunity to take a deeper look into the world of data streaming with the team from Confluent.
The session provided a practical overview of Apache Kafka and the broader Confluent Data Streaming Platform, exploring how organisations can move beyond simply streaming data from A to B and start making that data usable in real time.
We covered everything from Kafka clusters, topics and connectors to stream processing with Apache Flink, data governance and lineage, and Tableflow for bringing streaming data into modern data lake environments such as Snowflake and Databricks. We also looked at how these capabilities can support real-world use cases such as fraud detection, anomaly detection, data enrichment and real-time decision-making.
A big thank you to Roman De Oliveira and Kyle Clark from Confluent for taking the time to share your expertise with our team and for making the session both informative and interactive. It was a great opportunity to explore the technology in more depth and discuss how data streaming continues to evolve across the enterprise.
Curious about what data streaming could mean for your organisation? Reach out to our team to explore how technologies like Kafka and real-time data processing can be applied to solve real-world business challenges.
