Our paddleski angler Roscoe Rautenbach recently caught this nice Couta off Glen Ashley! He was using a live Mackerel at about 15m. Roscoe says there was a lot of live bait around. "You know that when you pin a live Mackerel, it's just a matter of time till your reel explodes! This fat healthy fish put up a good fight and weighed in around 14kg." He uses an Eagle 5. Good one Roscoe!

🎣 What an incredible catch!

Matt landed this beautiful Giant Trevally, better known as a Kingfish, on Sunday morning while fishing with LOWRANCE South Africa Brand Ambassador Byron Kane.

Using the LOWRANCE Recon 72” Saltwater Trolling Motor, they were able to hold their position perfectly on the productive area, allowing them to stay locked onto the fish and make the most of the opportunity when it came.

The best part? This magnificent GT was safely released to fight another day, helping to preserve this incredible species for future generations. 👏🐟

Our Lowrance SA kayak brand ambassador Shaun Reid, recently took to the sea in a boat! He caught this 19.65kg Couta, a 14kg Wahoo and a rare Tille Kingfish of 7kg, while fishing off Chidenguele in Mozambique. Great fishing Shaun!

Last night Durban Skiboat Club hosted a thank-you function for everyone who played a part in making the 2026 Skiboat Festival happen. Sponsors, volunteers, organisers and the hardworking crew behind the scenes came together to celebrate the event's success. Team Lowrance SA enjoyed catching up with industry friends and fellow supporters of this iconic deepsea fishing competition. The evening also included the presentation of a R35 000 cheque to the NSRI from Festival proceeds — a fitting way to give back to an organisation that does so much for the boating community.

Gauteng Divisional angler Liam Brown shared this catch, weighing in at 1.07kg, caught yesterday at Rhenosterkop Dam.

Using his Lowrance Elite 10 FS paired with ActiveTarget Live Sonar, Liam was able to scope deeper submerged trees and pinpoint fish holding in structure.
