One weak battery cell took down a 10kVA UPS.
If this site had a maintenance bypass switch installed, we could have isolated the UPS in minutes.
If the batteries had been replaced when we first flagged them, the power supply would still be healthy today.

Now the client is paying for a power supply repair, a full set of batteries, and the downtime that came with all of it. Every rand of that was preventable.

If you cannot remember the last time your batteries were replaced, or the last time your UPS was properly serviced, that is your sign. Do not wait for the server to drop to find out.
