Gravel bikes keep landing on fitting stands, and fitters keep reaching for road fit protocols. That's a problem.

The demands are fundamentally different. Wider bars for control on loose surfaces. A more slightly more upright torso for control over a variety of terrain and durations. Saddle pressure that shifts constantly as the surface changes beneath you. Power requirements that swing between seated climbing and technical descending within the same ride.

A road fit optimises for sustained aerodynamic efficiency. A gravel fit optimises for adaptability - the rider needs to move through a range of positions without losing stability or power.
