Geo Comm

Geo Comm GeoComm safeguards communities by modernizing geographic data and creating intuitive maps that effortlessly connect with emergency agencies.

GeoComm (www.geo-comm.com) was founded in 1995 to provide county governments with turnkey emergency 9-1-1 development services. Over the subsequent 27 years, the company has grown to serve more than 12,000 dispatchers in 800 emergency 9-1-1 call centers in the United States, helping to keep more than 84 million people safe. Today, GeoComm has a national reputation as a leading provider of geograph

ic information and communication systems. The company's systems route emergency calls to the appropriate call center, map the caller’s location on a dispatchers map, and guide emergency responders to the accident on mobile displays within police, fire and ambulance vehicles.

🚨 When emergencies happen inside buildings, a street address is not enough. Public safety teams need reliable wireless connectivity, accurate location data, and the right policy conversations to help close the gap between a call for help and a faster response.

GeoComm will be part of those conversations at the 2026 Safer Buildings Coalition Wireless Tech & Policy Summit, taking place June 9–10 in Washington, DC.

Join us on Day 2 to hear from:
📣 TJ Kennedy, President and CEO
Keynote: The indoor revolution from the responder’s view
Wednesday, June 10 | 9:10–9:40 AM

📣 Dan Craigie, Director of Government Strategy
Panel: Beyond Blunt Bans: Could Smarter Infrastructure Solve the School Phone Problem?
Wednesday, June 10 | 2:15–3:00 PM

GeoComm is also sponsoring the Day 2 AM Break from 10:30–11:10 AM. Stop by, connect with our team, and join the conversation around safer, more connected buildings.

A 9-1-1 call rarely begins with perfect information.

It begins with a voice. A description. A landmark. A room number. A nearby entrance. Sometimes, a caller knows where they are. Sometimes, they only know what they can see.

For public safety agencies, the challenge is turning that information into action quickly and confidently.

That’s where GeoComm is helping shape the future of AI for 9-1-1.

At NENA 2026, TJ Kennedy and John Brosowsky will share how GeoComm Location Intelligence can help AI better understand the real-world context behind emergency calls — connecting spoken information, geographic data, indoor maps, 3D visualization, and response workflows.

The result is AI that does more than process words. It helps surface the right map layers, identify likely indoor locations, highlight rooms and entrances, and provide actionable location intelligence when every second matters.

From reducing call taker cognitive load to supporting emerging Drone as First Responder workflows, GeoComm is helping agencies explore how AI and trusted location intelligence can work together to improve emergency response.

Every public safety technology conversation eventually comes back to the same question:

What can responders actually see when seconds matter?

A call may start the response.
But the full picture depends on what comes next.

The building.
The location.
The people involved.
The data that helps teams coordinate before uncertainty becomes delay.

GeoComm President & CEO TJ Kennedy will take the stage at the Safer Buildings Coalition Wireless Tech & Policy Summit to share how frontline public safety experience and innovative technology can help create safer communities.

Because when a life is on the line, the difference is not just the technology.

Join us in Washington, DC.

A school emergency can unfold in seconds. In those moments, first responders need more than an address. They need accurate, accessible location intelligence that helps them understand where to go, what they may encounter, and how to respond with confidence.

That level of readiness does not happen by chance. It requires investment before an emergency occurs — in planning, coordination, technology, and trusted information shared between schools, 9-1-1, and emergency response teams.

GeoComm President & CEO TJ Kennedy shares why sustained investment in school safety is essential to helping communities strengthen preparedness and improve emergency response when every second matters.

Across New Mexico, 9-1-1 GIS teams are working through a shared challenge: how to keep GIS data accurate, aligned, and ready to support NG9-1-1.

At the 2026 New Mexico NENA Dispatch, GIS & Vendor Conference, GeoComm led a full-day GIS for NG9-1-1 training focused on helping agencies move from GIS data challenges to practical readiness steps. The session covered 9-1-1 GIS Data Synchronization Workflows, Boundary and Road Alignment Best Practices, ArcGIS Pro demonstrations, and GeoComm’s role in supporting NM 9-1-1 GIS.

Before the conference, attendees also had the opportunity to submit GIS data for a free analysis. Onsite, those results became the starting point for more focused discussions around real data issues, recommended next steps, and how agencies can continue improving GIS readiness.

Thank you to the attendees and New Mexico APCO/NENA Conference organizers for making this a valuable event and for helping advance practical conversations around GIS readiness for NG9-1-1.

GeoComm is excited to announce a strategic partnership with StrataSite® to help schools and public safety agencies strengthen preparedness, improve coordination, and respond with greater confidence when it matters most.

Together, GeoComm’s public safety grade indoor mapping and location intelligence and StrataSite’s incident action planning platform help schools, NG911, law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other response stakeholders align around shared plans, clearly defined roles, and authoritative location data.
During an emergency, responders need more than a map. They need a coordinated plan grounded in accurate, trusted information.

This partnership helps organizations move beyond static documents and disconnected information toward a more complete, shared operating picture for preparedness, training, and coordinated response.
