Great reminder from Denco Area 9-1-1 District: know your building, your floor, and your room.

GeoComm has supported Denco's indoor mapping work, giving detailed indoor data to telecommunicators and responders, which includes floor plans, room numbers, and points of interest. When a caller can be located exactly where they are, that data turns into a faster response.

🚨 School safety is built long before an emergency begins. 🚨

Recently, the GeoComm team joined Pickens County School District of Georgia, Jennifer Wilson, first responders, school leaders, dispatchers, fire, EMS, and law enforcement for a full-scale emergency exercise at Harmony Elementary School in Georgia.

What we witnessed was much more than a drill.

Responders moved through hallways and classrooms. Dispatch supported the response. Teams established command, triage, and transport. School staff put their training into practice.

And throughout the exercise, everyone worked from a shared understanding of the school and the spaces around them.

That is where public safety grade location intelligence matters.

In a critical incident, responders need to understand which floor, which room, which hallway, which entrance, and how to get there.
