Prompt Health

Prompt Health More than an EMR. Running a practice keeps getting harder. Thousands of PT, OT, SLP, pediatric, and chiropractic practices found a way to grow anyway.

More visits. More revenue. Clinicians who stay. That's the Prompt way.

Your AI tool might be getting better at its job. Are you getting better at using it?

There's a learning curve to any new technology, and AI is no exception.

In our 2026 Clinician Experience Report, we found that the clinicians most satisfied with their AI tools also reported less after-hours documentation.

But getting there isn't always instant.

As Pedro Teixeira, MD, PhD explains, some improvements show up in days. Others take weeks or even months as clinicians learn to get more out of their tools.

His advice? Treat AI like any other tool worth mastering.

What would you give to consistently collect 99% of your collectible revenue?

At Coltman & Baughman Physical Therapy, that's exactly what's happening.

And the best part? Their team is doing it without the constant manual intervention and oversight that used to come with managing their revenue cycle.

Amber Espey, Billing Specialist, shares how Prompt RCM has helped the practice:
- Consistently collect 99% of collectible revenue
- Reduce manual intervention in the billing process
- Spend less time overseeing revenue cycle management
- Keep collections consistent without constant follow-up

Collecting the revenue you've earned shouldn't require your team to spend countless hours chasing it down.

Are you collecting data... or collecting dust?

Chris Hoekstra, PT, DPT, PhD, FAAOMPT shared a story on the Practice Growth Podcast with Marla Ranieri, DPT, OCS, that perfectly illustrates the difference.

His organization collected data for 2 years. Nothing changed.

The technology worked. The reports existed. But no one was using those insights to coach clinicians or improve performance.

Things changed when leaders started using the data. They trained their teams, gave clinicians visibility into their own performance, and turned dashboards into conversations.

Now imagine your EMR automatically surfaces the biggest opportunities and tells you what to focus on first, second, and third.

That's the difference between a system of record and a system of action.

One tells you what happened.

The other helps you decide what to do next.

Is your data driving decisions, or just filling up dashboards?

Every state allows some form of direct access to physical therapy.

But when something hurts, PT still isn't where most patients turn first.

That's the gap we're tackling in our next live webinar, “Becoming the front door to MSK care”.

We'll dig into what it takes to make PT the front door to MSK care, including:
- 2 real-world models for primary care PT
- The business case, from cash pay to insurance
- The operational changes across staffing, scheduling, workflows, and patient messaging
- Clinician and community buy-in, and what Sam and Rick have learned along the way
- Where to start building a model that works for your practice

You’ll hear from:
Sam Schmidt, co-founder, Alpine Physical Therapy
Rick Lybbert, CEO, Mountain Land Physical Therapy
Mike Dwyer, co-founder, Prompt
Marla Ranieri, Head of Clinical Innovation, Prompt

Sam and Rick already run primary care PT models, but with different approaches at very different scales. If primary care PT is on your radar, join us to see what it could look like in your practice.

What becomes possible when you have the flexibility to rethink the traditional clinic model?

When front-desk hiring became increasingly difficult, Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network saw an opportunity to operate differently.

With Prompt, they had more flexibility in what their clinics could look like:

- Kiosk took on check-in and payments
- Prompt Plus automated scheduling and follow-up
- Sidekick moved more than 90% of documentation to the point of service
- A small centralized team could focus on more strategic work while still stepping in when someone needed a human touch

Today, 75% of Pinnacle’s clinics operate without a full-time front desk.

But that’s not even the headline.

It’s what Pinnacle was able to do with those resources that makes this story so compelling:

The savings went back into more competitive clinician compensation, helping Pinnacle invest in the people treating patients while building a clinic model that works differently than it did before.

As President Dan Fleury PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT put it: “We were able to take that money and reallocate it back towards what was really important, and that was having therapists to treat patients.”

This is what we mean when we talk about technology changing how a practice operates.

Just in: More work Prompt can take off your plate.

From referrals to patient outcomes to billing, recent updates mean fewer things for your team to track, remember, and manually manage:

- Automatically populate Sidekick suggestions into structured fields
- Set default outcome surveys by body part and payer
- Collect a pain score automatically before every visit
- Track consecutive assistant visits across disciplines
- See every financial change made to a claim
- View authorization and visit limits while scheduling

Less to keep track of. Even more handled in Prompt.

NEW Practice Growth Podcast episode alert: Eric DeYoung of Areté Health 🎙️

Eric has built and sold at the enterprise level. Now, he’s starting over from scratch, with the benefit of knowing exactly what it takes to scale.

On the newest episode of the Practice Growth Podcast, Eric joins host Marla Ranieri, DPT, OCS to talk about what it takes to build an enterprise that can actually hold together as it grows.

They get into:

- The tech infrastructure practices should invest in early
- The difference between growth and true scale
- The metrics that tell you whether a practice is healthy
- Why it’s important to know the end game
- What Eric has learned from building, scaling, selling, and starting again

If you’re thinking about practice growth (ahem, this is the Practice Growth Pod after all), you can’t miss this one. Listen to the full episode here: https://www.prompthealth.com/podcasts/building-past-midmarket-the-infrastructure-behind-sustainable-enterprise-growth

The cost of staying disconnected is bigger than you think.

It’s bigger than staff time spent chasing records or referrals getting stuck in a fax queue.

Rehab now has a seat at the interoperability table, and staying disconnected means missing out on where healthcare is going next.

As Therasa Bell, President and Co-Founder of Kno2, put it: The risk is obsolescence (aka getting left behind).

Referring providers, payers, and patients increasingly expect health information to follow the patient. And when it does, things get pretty interesting:

- Better care coordination
- New care models
- Virtual care
- Stronger connections to the home
- And a much clearer picture of the value rehab provides across the healthcare system

In our recent interoperability webinar, we discussed what the future of connected rehab could look like (plus what Prompt offers today to make connected rehab a reality).

Guests included Matt Becker from Kno2 and Jack Uesugi from Prompt, plus host Marla Ranieri.

Want more rehab clinicians to stay in traditional care? Here’s the first thing to fix:

Documentation.

75% of clinicians named it one of the most draining parts of their day. 🪫

More than back-to-back patients, insurance and billing admin, or even the emotional weight of patient care.

That’s a pretty strong signal.

Practices can make a meaningful difference in the clinician experience by making documentation less of a burden (and less of something they have to take home).

Hint: Prompt can help with that. 😉

But what else makes clinicians want to stay?

And what separates the practices getting it right?
