I’m a 26 year old designer based in Sunderland, in the North East of England. I am both constantly inspired and always finding new ways to challenge myself creatively. I have a BA in Interactive Media Design, and earned a distinction in my MA in Design - in which I stu

died how visual design is utilised in the music industry. I enjoy working in the realms of photography, merchandise, album artwork, brand identity, illustration, tattoo design, videography/video editing, journalism, photo editing and sound design — but I am very open to finding more creative outlets that I will probably love. When I’m not working, I love to go to concerts and travel — and I often find ways to combine the two. I have also been playing guitar for over 10 years, and bass for about 5.

Turned a design of mine into an A3 risograph print last year, inspired by ’s Forgiveness (easily top 3 on AL for me)!

Thanks to the folks at who did such a wonderful job of printing this. I’d never done riso before and I’m obsessed with how good the colours look irl!!!

I left the house to see Paramore at Madison Square Garden 🏃‍♀️💨

This was a REALLY fun tee to design. Inspired by 50s/60s hand-arranged band flyer designs (ft. lots of boxes + stickers), I wanted it to feel funky but still classic. It was also so important to me that all 7 members of the Paramore live outfit were pictured, of course.

This tee was flipped on eBay by a few resellers after the show for about £150 a pop, which is so silly. Glad it went down so well but damn…. Scalpers are ruthless 🤪

I can’t believe it’s nearly been 3 years(?!?) since Paramore at Madison Square Garden.

I wasn’t even there, but getting to design the merch for my favourite band (at such an iconic venue) was such a milestone. Forever grateful to for thinking of me - they’re the best.

(I still haven’t been to NYC - my designs getting there first is very “children’s letters to God”/space mission-esque, but I love it)

Hey, I’m Eleanor, the one behind EO Design. This is a slide more about me than what I make.   My branding is full of a very particular colourway. Red, orange, yellow…. Obviously.

Anyone that is aware of me probably knows my hair colour before anything else. An accidental trademark (thank you, Hayley + Good Dye Young) when first splodging bold shades onto my newly-bleached hair, it was waiting to find me.

I guess I was very literal about pouring myself into this work! I’ve always been a sucker for gradients in design, so having one on my head feels right.   A quick blurb: I’m a Pisces, I love roller coasters, a good beverage, playing guitar & bass (not at the same time), food markets, pastries, dogs, going for a swim, books + films I can analyse to death, sweet potato fries, fragrances, playlisting, and basically anything to do with music.

A bit of an identity breakdown.

The slogan stickers in the first slide are all cut with scissors, hand-scanned + digitally re-coloured – written up to draw emphasis that my speciality is design within the music industry! Some are silly ("audio to visual translator", ha) and others are more straight up, but hopefully give a feel for who I am and what I do.

I loved the idea of an 'about me' page. Anyone curious should know *who* they're working with – not just the designs I make and the photos I take, but what I'm into, too. As well as a somewhat moody profile photo of me, I also wanted to honour and include little me (who, btw, has a way better wardrobe than me now)

The background photos in this identity design are all photos of mine too – just run through halftoning plugins to give them a bit of saturated grit, a fun bit of texture. Both taken at outdoor fruit stands actually, the left in Vienna, the right in Berlin!

My March is now fully booked for projects - but I'm looking to take jobs on starting in April. Get in touch, let's have a chat! ⭐️🍎

From the outset, I knew a core part of EO Design had to be ephemera – passes, wristbands, ticket stubs, film 6x4s, even lolly wrappers. Little bits and pieces from my life, personal history in miniature - only criteria being it HAD to translate to the design world.

This identity design was about it feeling like an extension (or I guess, a reflection?) of me. I’ve cycled thru so many potential ‘faces’ for my freelance work and none of them felt right - getting it perfect only took… 18 months… haha

Anyway, I scanned things from my physical gig memorabilia folder, colour-adjusted to fit (reds, oranges, yellows) + started collaging it all together with solid elements that I already had, like type and info. I really wanted the photog/live music side of me to shine through – it’s as much ‘me’ as the graphics part is, and it needed to feel in-the-venue, visceral, immediate. I’ve been taking cameras gigs since I was 13 – well, a point-and-shoot in my palm, before I really knew what I was doing. But that feeling of being right there in the pit, or pressed against the barrier, is something I wanted to carry into my work – in my photos *and* design.

Formally (and finally) introducing EO Design! She has gone through more versions than I care to admit. But at LAST - this feels like me!!!

I've been freelancing for a while now - pretty quietly, heads-down - working with musicians, labels, and creatives on branding, photography, merch, and posters. Only now I'm making some noise about it (hehe).

This has been a long time coming. Like… shockingly long. If you've spoken to me in the last year, I've probably told you I've been "working on my personal branding" lol. But I'm launching today, on my birthday, because when's better?

The website is finally live (www.e-o.design) – all of my portfolios for my specialties in one place, and a proper home for everything I do.

Follow along at on Instagram if you want to see the work! I'll be starting with a big backlog of projects, with a lot more to share down the line.
