Today is also National Flag Day!

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress officially adopted the United States flag as the emblem of our Union. For nearly 250 years, our flag has stood as a powerful symbol of independence, liberty and the shared values that unite us as a nation through every chapter of our history.

NTS invites our community to join us today in reflecting on what the American flag represents and honoring those who have dedicated their lives to protecting it.

Today is the birthday of the United States Army!

Founded on June 14, 1775—before the United States was even formally established—the Continental Army was formed by the Second Continental Congress to fight for American liberty. For 251 years, the brave men and women of the U.S. Army have stood as a global pillar of peace, security and resilience.

NTS is immensely proud to support our U.S. Army service members, veterans and military families. From the original volunteers under General George Washington to the over one million active and reserve soldiers serving globally today, we recognize the incredible sacrifices made to protect our freedom.

We extend our deepest gratitude to every armed forces member—past and present—for your unwavering commitment, adaptability and dedication to defending our country. Thank you for your service.

On June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched Operation Overlord, landing 156,000 British, Canadian and American troops across Normandy’s coastline.

Facing insurmountable odds and a heavily fortified "Atlantic Wall," these brave service members altered the trajectory of world history through sheer courage, meticulous planning and unmatched sacrifice.

As a proud supporter of our armed forces, NTS stands in absolute awe of this legacy. We honor the memory of the many heroes who gave everything on those beaches, and we remain deeply committed to supporting the active-duty military, veterans and military families who continue to defend our freedoms today.

We thank every veteran—past and present—for your resilience, bravery and unwavering service to our nation.

Summer concert season is officially here, Chesterfield County 🎶

If you’re looking for the perfect post-work spot to unwind, the Westchester Commons Concert Series presented by The Edge at Westchester Commons by StyleCraft Homes returns for the 11th season this Thursday, May 28th! It offers FREE live music on the Main Street Stage, Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

As members of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and a dedicated local business, the team at NTS always looks forward to events that highlight what a vibrant place Chesterfield is to live, work and play. There's a fantastic lineup, supported by great local names like Brown Distributing- Richmond, VA, James River Cellars Winery, Brick House Diner, and MIX 98.1.

The English Channel will be kicking off the live music this week, performing the best of British Rock hits. Plus, you can enjoy food from nearby Westchester Commons restaurants. There will be plenty of adult beverages for sale at the event, which benefits a local non-profit each week. This week’s beverage sales benefit The Rotary Club of Powhatan!

Today, as we celebrate Night Shift Worker’s Day for all night shift workers, but especially our NTS nightshift team.

We would like to acknowledge the entire NTS team while also shining a special light on those who keep our operations running smoothly through the night. Across the company, we all recognize the dedication, resilience and unwavering commitment of our night shift employees, whose efforts play a vital role in our ongoing success.

Working overnight brings unique challenges, yet time and again, our night shift colleagues display admirable professionalism and perseverance. Their reliability ensures that our operations remain seamless, and their hard work and spirit are deeply valued by everyone at NTS.
