Texas is changing how schools handle the heat. Starting with the 2026–27 school year, new UIL safety rules require schools to monitor heat conditions during outdoor practices, and in extreme conditions, practice has to stop completely.

That's putting climate-controlled indoor training facilities in the spotlight, and our customer Read Architectural Products is right in the middle of it. Their work bringing Kalwall translucent daylighting systems to Braswell High School's indoor practice facility in Denton ISD shows what these spaces can be: bright, comfortable, and built for the Texas heat. No dark metal boxes here.

We had a great time partnering with the Read team to produce the video showcasing this project. Take a look!

Some projects mean more than others, and this one hit close to home.
My friend Will at Snake River Tattoo and his wife Kate have a daughter named Chloe who was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. It's a rare skeletal condition that affects children in ways most of us will never fully understand. Instead of just coping with it, Will and Kate built something beautiful. The Chloe Fest Foundation raises money every year for OI research and provides real resources to families who have children with disabilities.
I had the privilege of creating a video for Chloe Fest 2026 and I could not be more proud to help this family get the word out. Watch the video, visit the site, and if you're able to donate even a little, please do. It goes directly to research and to families who need it.
