🌟 Exciting News from CyrusOne! 🌟
We are thrilled to announce our first data center in Milan, MIL1! 🇮🇹
CyrusOne is entering the Italian data center market with MIL1, strategically located in Segrate, East Milan. This state-of-the-art facility will deliver 27 MW of IT capacity across 9,000 sqm of technical space, with the first nine megawatts operational by Q3 2027.
In our efforts to support the local economy and community, we are proud to have acquired and donated a 658,628 sqm plot, known as the Golfo Agricolo, to the Municipality of Segrate for community use. This historic act ensures the area remains an ecological haven for future generations. 💙
Additionally, we are pledging to install photovoltaic panels on municipal buildings, finance public works in the Redecesio district, and redevelop Via delle Regioni to enhance pedestrian and cycling paths.
Sustainability and biodiversity are at the heart of MIL1, which will be built heat-reuse-ready and utilize 100% renewable energy. We are committed to achieving a BREEAM “Very Good” certification as a minimum.
