World Letter Writing Day is a good reminder that words still matter.

In marketing, the right words can make an email feel helpful, a website easier to understand, a campaign more persuasive, and a brand more memorable. Strong writing is not about sounding clever. It is about making the message clear enough that the right person understands what you offer, why it matters, and what to do next.

Unpopular marketing opinion:

Most businesses do not need more marketing ideas. They need fewer disconnected ones. A new campaign, new platform, new ad, new email, new landing page, new trend, or new content series can all sound exciting. But if those ideas are not connected to a clear goal, audience, message, and next step, they can create more noise than momentum.

The real question is not “what else can we do?” It is “what is actually going to move the right people closer to action?”

What do you think? Is your biggest marketing challenge coming up with new ideas, or knowing which ones are actually worth doing?

More content is not always better content.

Posting more often, adding more words, running more ads, or sending more emails will not fix a message that is unclear. Strong marketing starts with knowing who you are trying to reach, what they need to understand, and what action you want them to take next.

Volume can help, but clarity is what makes the message work.

Career paths are not always straight lines, and sometimes the biggest growth comes from being willing to rethink the path entirely.

Most customers do not go from “never heard of you” to “ready to buy” in one step.

There is usually a quiet maybe in the middle. They visit your website. Read a post. Check reviews. Compare options. Save an email. Come back later.

Marketing should support that middle space, not just the first click or final conversion. That is where trust, clarity, and confidence are built.

B2B buyers are paying attention to the people behind the brand.

LinkedIn’s 2026 B2B marketing insights point to creators, internal experts, employees, and thought leaders as important voices for building trust. For businesses, this is a reminder that expertise does not always need to come from outside influencers. It can come from the people closest to the work.

Your team’s knowledge may be one of your strongest marketing assets.

Print is not outdated when it has a clear purpose.

Brochures, sales sheets, mailers, trade show materials, packaging, signage, leave-behinds, and branded collateral can still support a strong marketing strategy when they are aligned with your digital presence.

The goal is not print or digital. The goal is one consistent brand experience across every touchpoint.

Happy National Nonprofit Day.

Nonprofits do important work in their communities, and strong marketing can help make that work more visible. Clear messaging, useful content, consistent branding, email communication, social media, and an easy-to-use website can all help organizations connect with supporters, donors, volunteers, and the people they serve.

AI is changing how B2B buyers discover and evaluate businesses.

LinkedIn’s research on the shift from visibility to buyability explains that buyers are increasingly asking AI tools for answers before they ever talk to sales. That means brands need more than traffic and clicks. They need clear content, customer proof, expert perspectives, peer recommendations, and a digital footprint worth retrieving.

In an AI-driven search environment, trust becomes part of discoverability.
