Opening weekend of dove season is here, and we want to share one more important hunting reminder: always know what is beyond your target before you shoot.

A stray shot can damage nearby fiber lines, and even a small amount of damage can be extremely difficult to locate and time-consuming to repair. That can leave Empower subscribers without internet while crews work to find the problem and restore service.

And you know what nobody wants on a Saturday? A house full of kids with no Netflix, gaming, streaming or Wi-Fi. 😅

Please hunt safely, be aware of nearby utility lines and help us protect your neighbors’ connection. Because nobody wants to spend opening weekend explaining why the internet isn’t working. 💙

The websites for both Craighead Electric Cooperative and Empower Broadband are currently unavailable due to an outage affecting our website hosting provider. At this time, we do not have an estimated time for service to be restored.

Online payment options are still available:

⚡ Craighead Electric members can access SmartHub to view their account and make a payment:

💙 Empower Broadband customers can still access the online payment portal using the unique link or QR code from your invoice.

If you need additional assistance, both offices are available by phone during regular business hours.
