Only 9 days left and we need help reaching Team Dan's Army goal of $1,000. We are about $ 485.47 away.
That's an average of only $ 53.84 per day we need to get for our goal.

We still are (CHD) advocates in honor and loving memory of Daniel Westfall who was born with a "half of a heart". This is called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He was originally given 6 days to live in 1994 in Houston at Texas Children's Hospital but Tulane University got him to 23 1/2 years old. Since 1995, TCH has been successful at repairing HLHS and there's no doubt Daniel and Team Dan's Army helped TCH make staff changes that enabled more babies to survive.

We had to do research without the internet. We had to make phone calls and leave voicemails and educate ourselves VERY fast at 21 years old. We had to get help form the Governor, we had to do everything we could just to get him the best chance to survive. We did not let ANYBODY stand in our way to at least give Daniel a chance.

Fast forward 30 years and we have foundations in place that help families like we were. They help save more lives and can dedicate so much time to help new families through awareness, resources and education.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES NEEDED TONIGHT at Tony's Tavern!!

Please see attachments or donate directly to any organization that is helping parents with school supplies needed!

Team Dan's Army takes donations weekly and helps Cypress Assistance Ministries, Angels' Attic Resale Store, local people in need in Cypress, Houston and Katy, Puptown Houston (great job Jason Westfall on the recent goal met for Puptown) homeless directly and anybody that we can. We are a "negative-profit" team that everyone who helps, or is helped, is a part of.

We try and cap it at $300,000 in extra chips to give people a chance that do not drink, bring can goods, items to donate, or cash to help others a chance to win.

Wow, 1,826 days since my began for . It's a bittersweet reminder of what I spent half my life and all of Daniel Westfall's 23 1/2 years learning and teaching so many.
