Stewart Filmscreen

Stewart Filmscreen We manufacture industry-leading projection displays for Professional, Aerospace and Consumer markets. Under the name, Roy C.

At 55 years of age, Roy Stewart had an opportunity that fit in with his vision of making large front and rear projection screens. With the help of his two sons, Marshall, 23, and Clifford, 20, the purchase was made and a small pilot operation was opened at a former WWII munitions facility in Torrance. Stewart & Sons, the business produced one lace and grommet screen a week for the movie industry.

For more than 65 years now, Stewart has been the consistent choice of discerning clientele around the world. We are unique amongst projection screen manufacturers in that we formulate and manufacture, from scratch, our own vinyl projection screen material. Through years of research and development, Stewart has engineered the most uniform, color correct, reference quality screen materials on the market, and we can manufacture these materials in the largest seamless sizes of any screen manufacturer. Because we produce our own material, we can make custom formulations to fit the unique needs of a specific installation. For instance, we can deepen black levels to improve contrast, or manipulate gain to find the optimal tradeoffs between brightness and viewing angles, all the while upholding a high standard for image fidelity. There is a perfect screen for every application, and nobody knows this like Stewart. Visit www.stewartfilmscreen.com to find out more. Whether your application can be satisfied by one of our typical, time-tested, award winning materials or whether you require a custom formulation, Stewart will work with you to ensure that your content is delivered to your audience EXACTLY as intended.

A photo I took yesterday of Apache gunship rear projection partial dome screens used for critical mission simulation. In this photo you are seeing the projector side back of the domes. Boeing then sends their factory personnel to Stewart and measures the optics of the screens to make sure they meet their tight military specs. After final inspection, we then pack the screens up in separate crates and ship. With this very same attention to detail that we apply to all our picky aerospace customers, we also apply across the board to all our the Home Theater and Commercial screen products we build.
Best Regards,
Don Stewart

Luxury isn't about adding more. It's about making every detail disappear into the experience. 🎬

Originally shared by Kasabe Designs Inc - this stunning private cinema is a beautiful example of purposeful design—from the fiber-optic star ceiling and architectural wall treatments to the carefully integrated Stewart Filmscreen that becomes the visual centerpiece without ever demanding attention.

When the lights go down, that's exactly how it should be. The room fades away. The image takes over. And every frame is presented with precision and fidelity.

The best home cinemas don't ask you to admire the technology. They invite you to forget it's there.

🎥 Proud to be the screen behind experiences like this.

Who says a Stewart Filmscreen is just for movie night? 🏁🎮

Originally shared by The Fun Waste of Time this setup proves that the checkered flag looks even better on the big screen. Whether you're chasing lap times, battling for position, or repeatedly missing your shift points (we've all been there), everything feels more immersive when it's projected at cinematic scale.

A Stewart Filmscreen doesn't just make movies larger than life—it puts you in the driver's seat for gaming, sports, concerts, and every experience in between. Add big sound to the mix, and suddenly you're not just gaming the race... you're in it.

Now, about that manual transmission... practice makes podiums. 😉🏆

Life is better on the big screen.

It's the same reference-quality screen trusted by Hollywood studios—ready to perform just as brilliantly in your home theater.
