I'm nostalgic.
I'm practical.

And when it comes to writing notes and my list of things to do? I often find myself using tradtional notecards.

Met with a couple this morning who are currently working with a web designer in Pakistan 🇵🇰

And while I’m sure he does great work, it was a good reminder that being local still matters.

My current read? "Keep Going" by Austin Kleon on 10 ways to stay creative in good times and bad.

I love this quote in the opening pages from Willie Nelson: "I think I need to keep being creative, not to prove anything but because it makes me happy just to do it ... I think trying to be creative, keeping busy, has a lot to do with keeping you alive." That's one of the things I love most about being a web designer - the opportunity to be creative and CREATE!

Today is Mother’s Day and National Small Business Day… so it feels like the perfect day to celebrate the Mom in so many mom-and-pop businesses. ❤️

The ones wearing twelve hats, keeping things moving, and somehow holding the whole thing together.

Honestly, mom-and-pop businesses are the heart of what I do. Always have been.

So today, I’m giving a little extra love to the moms behind the businesses, beside the businesses, and sometimes quietly carrying more of the business than anyone realizes. 🙌
