We’re excited to share the new website Avallo recently launched for American National Bank of MN!

This project went far beyond designing a new website. We wanted the site to feel like the communities and people American National Bank serves.

🦅 We coordinated professional photography shoots at all 10 bank locations, capturing the branches, team members, customers, and local communities.

🦅 We photographed their team so visitors can see the real people behind the bank, not stock photography.

🦅 We created individual pages for all 10 locations, giving each branch its own place to highlight local information, photography, and team members.

🦅 We created and optimized the website content for SEO, including local search, and structured it to help the bank be better understood by today's AI-powered search tools.

🦅 We refined the existing American National Bank logo and carried the refreshed branding throughout the new website.

We moved the office.

Throwback to 1996: The First Website Avallo Ever Built

When Avallo started in 1996, one of our very first clients was Mackay Photopak. In fact, theirs was the first website we ever created. We went on to work with Mackay Photopak for nearly 20 years, designing websites and other marketing materials as both of our businesses changed along with technology. At the time, photography was a very different world. Photo processing, printed photographs, specialty photo envelopes, catalogs and other physical products were an important part of the industry. Mackay Photopak had an extensive line of products designed specifically for that market.

Then came digital photography, online photo sharing, smartphones and an entirely different way of storing and sharing our memories. The photography industry changed dramatically, and businesses serving that industry had to change with it. Today, Mackay Photopak is part of MackayMitchell Envelope, continuing a much longer history in the printing and envelope industry.

We thought it would be fun to pull out some of the old Mackay Photopak envelope designs, catalogs and website work from the Avallo archives. They are a great reminder of just how much has changed since 1996.

The digital world changed Mackay Photopak's business. It changed Avallo's business, too. Thirty years in technology means you don't just watch technology change. You watch entire industries evolve, and you learn to evolve right along with them. Thanks, Mackay Photopak, for trusting a brand-new web company back in 1996. FAQ pages used to be pretty simple. Answer the questions customers ask most often, save everyone a little time, and make it easier for visitors to find information. They still do all of that. Now this is a pretty cool view of Avallo’s new home!

We knew we were excited about our move to Golden Valley, but seeing all those solar panels on the roof makes our new location even cooler.

Our new office is in the MPX Group building, and apparently, the roof is working just as hard as everyone inside.
A new office, new partnerships, new opportunities, and a building powered in part by the sun. We’d say that is a pretty bright start to Avallo’s next chapter!
