Deleting a rogue WordPress administrator isn’t enough when malicious code is recreating it.
A recent multi-site attack pattern points to the Elementor Pro file-upload vulnerability affecting 4.2.1 and earlier, followed by persistence hidden in themes or disguised plugins.
Patch first. Preserve evidence. Remove the persistence. Then delete unauthorized users, rotate credentials and WordPress salts, and test again after fresh page loads. Follow my link in bio for a guide on how to fix it!

Google is retiring the standalone Local Services Ads dashboard and folding it into Google Ads as a specialized Performance Max campaign.

If you're a plumber, HVAC company, electrician, roofer, or run any home service business using Local Services Ads, this affects you starting this month.

The good news: pay per lead, Search and Maps only placement, and keywordless targeting all stay exactly the same. What's changing is the dashboard itself, manual bidding, how budgets are structured, and the BBB callout.

The one thing worth doing now, whether or not you've gotten a migration notice yet: export your historical performance reports. Google's own documentation says they will not transfer automatically.

Full breakdown, including a question I keep seeing come up that Google hasn't actually answered yet, below in the comments.

It's that time of year again! CommunityVotes is going on again and it's currently the nomination period. We won last year and would love to have the opportunity to win again.

One of my Fort Wayne clients spends about $15 a day on Google Ads. Last month that brought in 12 leads at roughly $37 each.

A small budget can absolutely work. When it does not, the problem is almost always the setup, not the money. Display network left on by default, ad clicks going to the homepage instead of the right page, no conversion tracking to show what is actually working.

If you are spending on Google Ads and not sure it is doing anything, I will take a look and tell you what I find: https://brightboxdigital.io/blog/does-a-small-google-ads-budget-work/

For all of you that's been working with ai, did you know you can build your own dashboards? This is on the nerdier side of things, but you can create dashboards for your terminal that lets you talk to your ai. This is Claude, and there's still a lot of work to do because I want to have my agents as different pokemon, but it's pretty cool!

You can use tools like Google Search Console to see what queries people are typing in to find your website.

You can also see your top pages, what countries people are visiting from, what devices they’re using, and a lot more information.

It gives you real data on what’s actually working instead of guessing.

If you’re not using it, you’re missing out on useful insight.

Do you constantly get calls from people saying they can get your business listed on voice searches and recommended through voice assistants?

You don’t need to pay someone for that.

Just make sure you’re listed on the core five platforms: Google, Bing, Apple, Yelp, and Foursquare.

Most voice assistants pull data from those sources. If you’re listed correctly on those, you’re already covering the majority of voice search.
