Last Friday, the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton Va. selected MSM group Inc. to provide iSite, our Commercial Off The Shelf ( COTS) software to satisfy their requirements for an electronic Langley Contract Management System (LCMS). The objective of this procurement was to procure a COTS publicly hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) application that meets the Government’s requirements for an LCMS for both the LITES II and STARSS III contracts.

I would like to personally thank everyone at MSM for your help in securing this contract, without your hard work and perseverance this contract award would not have been possible.

Like all NASA Centers, NASA Langley has numerous service contracts that require an LCMS to efficiently and effectively manage contracts. Historically, NASA requires the contractor to provide such a system. Typically these systems have proven to be inadequate, often custom developed, requiring significant time, effort, and funding to modify to meet the Government’s actual requirements. These systems rarely ever meet all requirements and NASA Langley customers, primarily Technical Monitors and Resource Analysts, are frustrated by the lack of functionality and the lack of standardization across the various contract management systems. In addition to being costly to develop, these systems typically are costly to maintain as well, and these costs are passed to the Government either in contractor overhead or as direct charges to contracts. This is a systemic challenge across all NASA Centers which results in tremendous costs to the agency.

As a result of Langley’s decision to use iSite, a sea change in the process to administer NASA contracts is underway. This new approach, hosted in the Amazon Web Services Elastic Cloud will be FedARAMP Compliant by November, and will drive down the total cost to manage support services contracts. We are grateful to the folks at Langley who had the vision to change the old paradigm and leverage information technology tools and business processes to drive efficiencies in government contracts.

MSM Group is proud to join with Jacobs Egineering as value-add subcontractors on this exciting 10 year $400 mollion dollar contract. We accept our responsibilty to work together to make NASA test facilites operations work better and cost less.

Keep your fingers crossed. Big award by NASA Glenn Research Center to be announced this week.
Also, we are "this close" to inking a deal that will add NASA Ames Research Center to our list of NASA centers supported.
And last but not leasr, we're working hard to get the NASA Langley Research Center on our map as well.
It's going to be a wild year, that's for sure.

MSM Group has been awarded a subcontract to support Sierra Lobo Inc. on the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Environmental Test and Integration Services (ETIS) contract. MSM will provide our proprietary software (iSite®) and subject matter expertise to support ETIS task order initiation, workflow, estimation, and close out, including financial reporting.

iSite® is a cloud hosted, “Software as a Solution” (SaaS) application facilitates the management of ETIS tasks from initiation to completion, including configuration control, subcontracting, schedule, and cost.

Customer Impact: Intermittent outages are anticipated during this maintenance event, thus, normal operation of affected systems should be suspended until after completion. The actual impact should not exceed the scheduled time frame.
